Iran has finally admitted to shooting down the plane. Surely
this must lead to military intervention and regime change.

Protests on the street.... How is it they had not grounded all
civil flights at a time when their anti aircraft systems were
primed and sweeping the skies? The religious extremists cannot
even protect their own citizens. They might as well put Mutha
and Incognita in charge if they want incompetence, denial and
silencing of any dissent.

Ducky the Iranian embassy is just down the road from the Albert

I am on the flight to Innsbruck. Steep descent into mountain
valley at end. Hoping for good visibility so I can see quite how
close we go to mountains.

Really really good descent in. It is beautiful. You drop down
within a few hundred metres of the mountain peaks and then bank
right by about 145 degrees and then drop down into the valley
between the mountains. Frozen lakes and snow. The air is so
fresh now that I am out and walking around the city

Innsbruck is a notoriously dangerous airport to land at. Have
only flown to Salzburg and Vienna.

The air is so much purer. Blue skies with streaks of white where
the powered snow is being blown off the peaks and just stays up
in the sky. Cannot imagine it is much fun if the clouds move in
and sit in the valley.
