The Ukrainian, 2016 built plane? Engine failure would not cause
it to plummet out of the sky.
Somebody in the Iranian air defense knows more but is keeping
quiet. They possibly had somebody who was very jumpy on a
surface to air system who thought the Israeli's were coming in
low to take out Tehran's main runway.
So much for slapping Trump. American losses 0. Civilian deaths
176.

Putting sophisticated missile systems in the hands of Iranians
or Ukrainian separatists always was going to be disastrous for
the Russians.
Oh well maybe this mess up and slap to Trump that backfired will
avert a larger war

This hardly covers Trump in glory. He forced a rather stupid
adversary into a corner and they went into panic mode and killed
176 civilians. It is the perfect argument for de-escalation.
Trump's child like brinkmanship is partially to blame here. If
he was half way decent he would apologise and admit his part in
this tragedy.

It was indeed shot down, but whether intentionally or in error
is not yet known.
The mad Iranian leaders should be deported to North Korea.

It is a f@ck up. Sophisticated missile system that locks on in
seconds given to idiots in a backward religious state and they
have it searching the flight path of their main international
airport.
Russians deserve some blame in this. They were hoping to shoot
down US jets and humiliate their biggest adversary through Iran.

French Air investigators are now invited by Iranians. Maybe the
Iranians will choose to be honest. If they proceed to cover up
it could bring the regime down. When you lie and cover up the
murder of 176 people then you are finished. Regime change which
Trump's administration have been working towards.
