To be honest I think this theme works perfectly.
I havn't seen the old theme but personally I would say keep this
theme.

This one's better although it looks good....
the other one is brighter but I'd still keep this one.
No-one else is posting feedback... C'mon people...!

yeah it is kinda hard to get feed back around here but remember
we only have a few members. We need more members but I would
like to see other staffs opinions on the theme change. :)

For chat forums I usually prefer a light background and dark
text
but in the context of a 'techie' forum I think this is better.
