-Hash Checks
"When you get a hash Check failed on a bittorrent client, it
means someone has sent you a corrupted or altered piece of data.
Torrent clients like uTorrent, Bitcomet will perform hash check
on every piece of data that is uploaded from seeders or leechers
to your computer. If that piece of data is mismatched, hash
check failed occurs. Do not worry, your torrent client will stop
the changed data from being saved to your harddisk. The piece of
data will be downloaded again. Therefore, you do not need to
restart your torrent or do anything. If you get several failed
hash check from the same ip address, it is likely your torrent
client will ban that particular ip address to prevent bandwidth
and time wasting. Utorrent will ban the ip address that failed 3
hash checks." Source:
