PLEASE MAKE SURE YOU UPDATE THESE PROGRAMS BEFORE YOU USE
       THEM!!!

       the free versions)

and performance with a clean design.
Bit Torrent: Click Here To Download
  HTML http://www.bittorrent.com/btusers/download/complete?os=win
!!! WARNING !!! Be careful of what you download using Bit
       Torrent
This torrent is actually quite popular and is used for to
download files that are very large. This program relies on
Seeders and Peers, Seeders who are people who has the complete
file and is distributing them, Peers are people who are
downloading the files from other seeders but are also
distributing the same file. Be sure to use hash checking.
Hash Checks are explained here: In this topic
  HTML http://www.dscompforums.tk/general-windows-support/bit-torrent-hash-checks-and-how-they-work/new/#new
       7Zip: Click here to download
  HTML http://www.7-zip.org/
Just like WinRar, however supports a new format called .7Zip
which offers more compression than .rar files.
       WinRar: Click Here To Download
  HTML http://www.rarlab.com/download.htm
This is a very useful program used to extract .zip or .rar
files. Usually people that have little programming skills would
usually use this program to zip it and then other people can use
Winrar to unzip it. Pretty much it squeezes multiple files into
1 and this program unloads it into the multiple files.
MalwareBytes' Anti-Malware: Click Here To Download
  HTML http://download.cnet.com/Malwarebytes-Anti-Malware/3000-8022_4-10804572.html?part=dl-10804572&subj=dl&tag=button
One of the best anti virus programs out there. Its just a
scanner but it detects and can get rid of pretty much all the
       viruses i know.
You need to purchase the paid version to have real time
protection, but hey the scanner is the best out of all the anti
virus programs i used so far. Don't run more than one real time
scanner at a time. The paid version is unnecisary if you have
another anti malware program that has real time protection. :)
       MalwareBytes' Anti-Malware
       -Paid Version (One time fee)
  HTML https://store.malwarebytes.org/342/?scope=checkout&cart=29945
Adobe® Flash: Click Here To Download
  HTML http://get.adobe.com/flashplayer/
A very useful program which is used by a lot of sites, mostly
used for gaming and such. Be sure to keep this up to date!!!
       Java: Click Here To Download
  HTML http://java.com/en/download/chrome.jsp?locale=en&host=java.com:80
Remember when you were like 10 years old and you went to
Runescape, yes you needed java in order to play.
       Avast5 Click Here to Download
  HTML http://avast.com
Avast is a real time protection virus scanner and anti virus. It
is recommended by many and I use it myself. It won't slow down
your system and it also has voice notifications to tell you when
an infection is blocked and when it is updated.
VLC Media Player Click Here to Download
  HTML http://www.videolan.org/vlc/
VLC Media Player is one of the best media players out there that
is free. It can play videos and sounds of practically any format
so you don't have to convert anything. There's also support for
multiple OSs so if you're a Mac, Windows, Linux, or anything
else, VLC Media Player is compatible!
       Firefox Click Here to Download
  HTML http://www.mozilla.com/en-US/firefox/new/
Firefox 4 now has a new clean look with more speed. It's a
preferred choice by many people and has new functions(feels a
       little similar to chrome now).
       Skype Click Here to Download
  HTML http://www.skype.com/intl/en-us/home
Skype is a cool program that allows you to communicate easily by
utilizing a microphone if you have one connected to your
computer. Skype allows you to call cell phones from your
computer at a cheap price and calls are free if the other person
you're calling is using Skype on his/her computer. Don't have a
microphone? It's alright, you can just type instead. Also, Skype
even allows video call other people which basically uses both
your microphone and a camera if you have one.
       Notepad++ Click Here to Download
  HTML http://notepad-plus-plus.org/download/v5.9.3.html
This program improves over Microsoft's notepad and allows many
things to be done. It can open and save things in various files
and you could use it to write programs in languages such as
Python. It also shows each line number so if there's some error
at a certain line, you can find it easily!

:) I guess when you said warning you meant a warning that is
what I wanted thank you. I am going to move the hash check
explanation to a new topic then put a link to that topic in this
topic that way it is in its own topic which will make it easier
       to spot. :)

I would recommend these two programs
       AVG anti-virus -
  HTML http://free.avg.com/gb-en/homepage
       and
       ZoneAlarm Firewall -
  HTML http://www.zonealarm.com/security/en-us/zonealarm-pc-security-free-firewall.htm
       Both free, easy and trusted!

AVG is on my Sh** list as it has proven slow and also I have
been infected with a known and easily removable virus and it was
not able to remove it. I recommend Avast5! it is free and light
       weight.
Zone alarm fire wall is a great firewall I use it on some of my
       more important PC's. :)
Added Avast5! to the list above. :)

personally I have had no problems with AVG....
but, everyone has their own opinions.
I'll try Avast5 with my other computer.

I've tried a lot of anti virus programs when i got hit by a hard
virus. The virus automatically disables the anti virus, so i
found mbam which helped perfectly for me

I recommend having both Avast as I sad will block a lot of
attacks before they happen and MBAM is good for what you have
       stated. :)

What are your thoughts about Window Washer from Webroot ?
I used to use it and thought it was ok but someone told me there
were problems with it so I use ccleaner now
