Reducing lag and latency

To start off, I'm going to talk about lag. Lag just means
slow.In order to cut down on lag, I RECOMMEND RUNNING A VIRUS
SCAN FIRST(using mbam).Viruses can redistribute themselves over
the internet causing you to lag.You should also close any
unnecessary programs that uses internet
Now for reducing your latency, you should keep a habit of
closing unnecessary programs(Games,Torrents,Instant messengers,
etc.) This is a vital step to improve performance. Once you get
the hang of it, you should next, turn off ALL firewalls you
have. Keep 1 you feel is the best. An important step is to plug
your Ethernet wire from your router(if you're using one)
directly to the modem. Using routers allows you to share
internet with other people, although it comes with a firewall.
