omg, i just saw a comment on the ai forum that only the top 6
perform duets at the finale.. i thought it was the entire top
10! if deandre doesn't get to perform i'm going to be seriously
depressed! i hope the person who said it's top 6 is dead wrong!

whew, now others are saying that yes they all get to perform,
just that the top six might get an extra solo or something.. i
thought it sounded fishy bc deandre is in LA for rehearsals so i
assumed that meant he would be in the finale.. i hate it when
people scare me like that, i'm relieved that they were wrong and
that he will perform!

I think it's different every year. We won't know until we watch
the show. Season 8 Michael Sarver & Megan Joy did a trio with
Steve Martin. Matt and Scotty were supposed to do a dueling
piano thing with Billy Joel, but Billy Joel backed out last
minute, so they got nada. I believe Lil and Anoop got
something. Allison sang a duet with someone. Gokey sang with
Lionel Richie (which made me like him even less because Lionel
Richie is one of my favorite singers and he should have been
singing with Matt instead of Gokey, but I digress...) Adam sang
with Queen. Kris sang with Keith Urban. That's a finale that I
actually remember. lol.

thanx tanise! this "wait and see" thing is driving me batty! i
wish i knew he would be performing so i can count down the
hours, or knew if he's not so i can brace myself to be majorly
bummed and maybe not even watch it at all.. this "not knowing"
is messing with my sanity! i hope i hope i hope that deandre
will be performing! i have all my fingers and toes crossed,
even my eyes at this point! :o

I am here. I'm feeling like Dre won't get a duet because they
have only done a couple and it's been almost an hour. I could
have done without Rihanna.

hey y'all.. i've been reading pbp's and i am so p'o'd! they
make time for jennifer to sing AGAIN plus another guest
performer plus jessica gets an extra solo? when they could've
made time for more duets??? this is not setting well with me at
all.. the only reason i'm even gonna watch it at all is bc
deandre is in the group performances.. but it really sucks that
they didn't make more time for the top ten, that is who we tune
in to see/hear! sorry to be so neg but this is just wrong!

You are 100% right about it being wrong - It seems like It was
all about jessica, just barely Phillip the other freaking
finalist - Love jess but I am not a happy camper right now! I
mainly wanted to see the contestants I loved that had gotten
eliminated too early :( *cough*cough*DEANDRE*cough ;)

Yeah...Finale was a bit of a let-down to say the least.
Group performances with Dre were good. I loved the "phone book"
bit, lol. I thought Dre sounded fantastic during the BeeGees
medley. But like you guys, I wanted to see more of him.
But look on the bright side. Idol is over this year. The tour is
coming up. Lets keep our fingers crossed that we'll be
eventually getting the wonderful announcement of Dre getting a
record deal...
On to better things now. :)
