woo hoo! this might not be as exciting as all of your tour
experiences, but i'm excited about it! :)
there was a greeting card in my mailbox today, addressed from
tanise, which said "thinking of you" on the front.. so i guilt
tripped for a second, thinking y'all were checking up on me to
make sure i'm still standing since i've neglected this site for
so long.. i haven't been avoiding y'all on purpose, i guess i
just burnt out on web surfing in general bc my laptop has been
sitting here collecting dust for a month or two while i was
catching up on laundry and stuff..
but anyway, when i saw the card i thought oh it is so sweet of
tanise to keep in touch with me, and i thought maybe if i were
especially lucky there might be a slip of paper inside the card
with a generic autograph from deandre.. bc i vaguely remember
that i mentioned it would make my day if someone who was able to
go to a tour concert could maybe get an extra autograph and mail
it to me to help make up for me not being able to go.. but i
mostly thought it was wishful thinking when i said it so i'd
almost forgotten that i even mentioned it, because i honestly
didn't expect that anyone would have me on their mind if they
got a chance to chat with deandre, let alone would i expect him
to take time out for someone who couldn't even manage to come
meet him in person, so the most i could hope for was a signature
and even then i didn't really expect it..
so imagine how stoked i was to see that the card itself had been
written and signed by deandre! and not just generic but he
addressed me by name and sent me thanks for my support and
respect for my love and that he hoped to meet me in the near
future! even though i know that's not gonna happen, i am so
thrilled that not only would my fellow dredreamer be so
considerate to think of me when she could've had deandre's time
and attention all to herself in that moment, but also that
deandre himself would take the time to personalize the autograph
and give as much time and attention and love and respect for his
dredreamers who love him from afar just as much as those who get
to meet him, and it seemed so sincere how he wrote that he
wished he could meet me in person.. he really does have a way
of making his fans feel like he is a true friend to each and
every one of us! what a sweet boy! i'm actually kinda choked
up about it!
anyway, i'm really sorry it's been so long since i've touched
bases with y'all.. aside from trying to catch up with
housework, the real world has been trying to catch up with me,
and that's not always pretty, but oh well :) i definitely have
something to smile about today! ;D thank you so much tanise,
and much love to you and to deandre and to all of his
dredreamers! as soon as i post this, i'll try to catch up on my
reading here including posts as well as pm's.. peace and love
to you all! ;D

HEY 'THIA!!!!!! ;D
So nice to hear from you! We've missed you! Hopefully you know
that even if you don't get on here much we're still here for
you. :-*
That was so sweet of Tanise! DeAndre has gone out of his way to
make sure everyone gets love from him..so glad you got yours!!!
Stay in touch...we still have our chat parties on Thurs nights
but switched it to 8pm est. Hope to see you pop in!! :)

Aww! Your post made me tear up. I'm so glad you got the card.
I didn't know he was going to write so much. lol. He really is
a sweet heart. And I'm so glad that you popped in to say hello
to everybody.

hey lesley and tanise! thank you both for writing back! yes, i
know y'all are here for me and i think of you often even when
i'm not online! ;D
deandre's acknowledgement really meant alot to me, bc i'm not
the kind of fan who would get hysterical just to have something
in my possession that was touched by him and signed by him like
i woulda been a few decades ago, but when we spend several hours
a week obsessed with supporting him and wishing the best for
him, there's sortof a let-down when all is said and done,
wondering if after all that investment if he even knows my name
let alone how sincerely i've had his back.. when you pour that
much love into somebody, it's not even so much about caring if
they love you back or not, but ya wanna know they received your
love, you wonder if they felt it, you wonder if it made any
difference in their life, or if it was such an insignificant
drop in the bucket that they might not even have noticed it at
all.. so for him to acknowledge that he knows he's loved, that
he knows he's got my support, that's all i wanted or needed, to
know that he knows.. does that make sense?
so that's why it made my day, and thanks again to tanise for
helping to make it happen, and thanks to deandre for addressing
me by name and writing a full paragraph when he could've just
scrawled his name and been done with it.. it makes me feel like
all those weeks/months i spent writing post after post in
support of him, all those countless hours spent voting, etc, it
didn't go unnoticed or unappreciated.. he might not remember my
name beyond that moment, and i don't expect him to, but he took
the time to let me know yes i know you've been there for me and
i love and respect you for it, and that's more than enough,
that's all i ever dreamed of was that he knows/feels how much
love and support i've sent his way..
knowing that he knows gives me sortof a sense of closure, not
that i'm done supporting him but i can let go of season 11 and
look forward to his upcoming success without being bummed that
the first chapter has ended.. i no longer feel like i've been
left hanging, which i did feel for quite awhile, because he got
booted from the show way before his time and i had a hard time
getting past that almost tragic feeling that we hadn't seen or
heard nearly enough of him and weren't the least bit ready to
say farewell or even be able to look forward to what's next yet
because my head was spinning from what a quick turnaround they
gave him when he deserved so much more! i know it left alot of
us fit to be tied and i'm not the only one who felt that way..
so to know that he's ok, that he's still his energetic happy
tigger-ish self and still riding on the wings of our love and
support, i know it will see him far, and that makes me so happy!
i've been really enjoying reading the tour reports and living
vicariously through you fellow dre-dreamers.. thanks to
everyone for all you've shared in the other threads and for
responding to this one:) love you all! ;D

'thia...I think there's one thing that we've learned about Dre
over these last few months. He geniunely cares and appreciates
all his fans. He knows that we all disrupted our lives in a way
to vote like crazy for him and spread the word about him. I can
honestly say I believe he will never forget that.
He's said many times that he wants to meet all his DreDreamers.
I'm sure he realizes that's not possible so he has been known to
take the time to write special notes to his fans that weren't
able to meet him. Even though you weren't able to get an actual
hug he was still able to hug you from a distance and that's an
amazing thing!
He's proven over and over how lucky we are to have him as our
Idol. He makes us all feel as if we are connected heart to
heart.
Oh..if you don't get many responses to this it's because we've
been having problems with the site lately. Some people are
having problems opening up certain threads. I know Peggy and
Jazz were trying to open up this thread and couldn't.
Hopefully we'll get it fixed soon!!!

thanx again les! i love the way you worded that, it really was
like he sent me a hug! never for a moment have i regretted the
time and support i invested, but still it feels like such a
relief to know that he's genuinely knows how much we care about
him, not only grateful in general but bonded to each of us as
individuals.. i love how he bounces around like tigger, always
running late but only because he is trying to devote as much
time to each individual dre-dreamer as he possibly can.. what a
gracious boy, no doubt his mother is so proud she can barely
contain it! i don't take it personally that there is a minimum
of replies on this thread, i've had a hard time openining
threads too.. it seems if there is a new un-read post the thread
opens right up for me but if i've already read it it won't let
me back in until another new post shows up.. so i figured there
must be a glitch in the system that others might be experiencing
too, but thanx for clarifying that that is indeed what has been
happening.. much love! ;D

Those were such beautiful words. You guys make me tear up too
much and you need to stop it. lol. But I'm so so happy that
you were touched, Thia. The Dre Dreamers will always be my
favorite group of fans. You guys are amazing. And I think that
DeAndre just attracts amazing people because of who he is. Lots

thanx tanise! our boy really knows how to get the love and
grateful tears flowing doesn't he? i very much agree with you,
the types of people who are drawn to him and were compelled to
become dre-dreamers have been the most caring and open minded
penpals i've ever had! i never even joined a fan group before
but i am so happy that i did, it's been such a blessing! not
only are we connected through similar taste in music, but he has
brought out the loving nature in each of us as well, as he has
no shortage of it himself and he's all about spreading the love
around :D this has been an amazing experience and i know it is
just the beginning for deandre and his dredreamers! :D
