My apologies to all, but I accidently deleted the first thread.
Don't even ask, cause I have no idea how I did it.
I know that someone posted that Deandre said there may be a
record deal in the works. Who ever posted that, please repost
so we can keep everyone up to date. Peggy and Lesley thanks for
trying to retrieve my lost topic thread. I thought it was
interesting that on Aug 24 Deandre tweeted 3 messages concerning
Benet performances, etc. Could there be something brewing
there?

I was thinking the exact same thing when Dre tweeted about
Harriett Jones! First I thought..damn Dre, you're a little
behind times since it came out like 2 months ago! Then I was
like ummmm is he giving us hints??
Now this interview was posted today saying he's going to do some
demos with someone that is near and dear to him! ERIC?? I hope!
I know some of you would rather him go with a big recording
label which would be cool but from the very beginning I've
wanted him with Mr. Benet.

WOO HOO! At least we now know that he has something in the
works. I am doing cartwheels and flips!
ALso hope it s Benet. Dre can learn the business from him, plus
they both do the same kind of music. I think Mr. Benet will
give him more room to do his own thing than a major label would.
I m so happy for him.

I tend to think he is talking about Eric too. Not only the
recent tweets about him, but Eric also tweeted him back the
other day. Though I think if Eric does help him record some
demos and stuff, my interpretation of that is that it doesn't
necessarily mean he would sign with Eric's label. I feel like
with demos, aren't those usually made to shop around to various
labels? So it could also just be a situation of Eric trying to
mentor him and help him find his footing, even if it's
eventually at a different label. But who knows really. Either
way the development is good news.
You can tell that something has happened recently because even
before knowing about Ilene's conversation with Dre, his whole
demeanor has changed in terms of talking about what is coming
next. I also like that he's realistic and knows that it will
take awhile to get things going.

Just saw on twitter that Skylar had made demos and has been
shopping around to labels. May be closing in on a deal. I
assumed she had already been signed by someone.

I hope with all my heart that DeAndre soon start his career,
this is a very talented kid and he's going very well, he sings
like an angel.
