Ariel and Bolt meet

Ariel had slipped out of the palace ealier, wanting to go
shopping in the town. She walked from stall to stall, eyeing
everything with curiousity. She hardly ever had the time to
window shop or linger around stores. Her trips through town were
normally rushed and she normally had guards following close
behind her. It was nice to be able to go somewhere besides the
beach or the forrest, where there was actually lots of people.
She turned away from a stall that was selling jewelry and was
about to move on when she stopped suddenly. "Is that...?" She
mumbled, eyeing a white furry dog wandering through the crowd.
Her face lit up in delight as she saw how adorable the dog was
and rushed over. "Oh, you're so cute!" She exclaimed, kneeling
down to pet the dog.

It looked like it was going to be another long boring day. Bolt
had been wandering the streets of town for what felt like hours
and there was absolutely nothing interesting to do. He had been
hoping that some villian might show up so he could save the day
and have everyone adore him for his bravery, but no such luck.
On top of all that, he thought he might be getting lost. Ever
since he decided to search for something to eat, he was
beginning to notice that his surroundings were becoming less
familiar. What was worse was that no one was giving him the
treatment he deserved. Half the time, no one even saw him and he
had to be more alert to avoid being stepped on. Just then, he
looked up just in time to see a teenage girl with bright red
hair run over to him. When she smiled at him and told him how
cute he was, Bolt came to a stop, thinking he had finally found
someone who could help him. "Finally! A friendly face around
here! So, you know where I can find something good to eat? I'm
lost and this town is so boring and stupid. I don't even know
how I ended up here in the first place!"

Ariel gasped and stared at Bolt with wide eyes. "You can talk!?"
She asked, excitedly. She knew she really shouldn't be suprised.
I mean, she could turn into a mermaid so why couldn't the dogs
in this world talk? Still she found it very exciting that she
had discovered such a creature. Realizing that the dog would be
waiting on her to answer the question she quickly said, "Oh,
you're hungry? Umm.. I think I know a good place." She
straightened and glanced around briefly. Spotting a hot dog
stand not too far from their position, she pointed. "Do you want
a hot dog?" She asked cheerfully.

"A hot dog?!" Bolt exclaimed, wagging his tail with a big smile.
"I love hot dogs! I want one!!!" He ran over to the hot dog
stand as fast as his feet could carry him and jumped on top of
it. He then shouted at the hot dog vender, "Hey!! Gimme a
hotdog!!!"

The man running the hot dog stand looked at the dog with
disgust. Ariel quickly rushed over, pulling a few coins from her
pocket. "I'm sorry!" She apologized to the vendor as she handed
him the money, "Two hot dogs please!" The man looked back at the
dog wearily but handed Ariel the hot dogs. "Have a nice day.."
He grumbled, glaring at the dog. Ariel smiled cheerfully at the
man before turning to Bolt. "You have to pay for stuff silly!"
She said, "Come on, let's go sit down over there and eat."

"Pay?!" Bolt hopped off the hot dog stand and followed her. "I
don't have pockets! How am I supposed to pay? That hotdog man
was stupid. He should've given me free food! Doesn't he know
that you're supposed to give free food to cute adorable dogs
like me? The people in this town are stupid! They need to treat
me with more respect cause I'm a superhero who has to save them
from badguys ALL the time. They're hopeless without me. I
deserve free food for my trouble and hardships. They don't
understand. This must be what it feels like to be spiderman.
They never gave him free hotdogs either, did they?! And after
all he did for them...."

Ariel giggled quietly. This dog is quite talkative.. I wonder if
dogs could talk in the real world if they would sound like this?
She thought. She sat down on one of the benches and held out one
of the hot dogs for Bolt. "My name is Ariel!" She said, cutting
off his rant, "You're the first talking dog I've ever seen in my
life! Do you have a name?"

Bolt took the hotdog from her with his mouth and chewed on it so
crumbs fell all around him. "I am Bolt, the superhero of
everything." After he finished devouring his food, he looked up
at her, expectantly. "....I'm still hungry."

Ariel looked down at her hot dog than back at Bolt. "Here." She
said handing the food out to the dog. "So superhero of
everything?" She said, wondering if he was really serious, "Do
you go around saving people?"

Bolt took the hotdog from her gratefully and chewed on it
noisily as he replied, "Why yes I do. I have super powers you
know. I can shoot laserbeams from my eyes and whenever I bark
people and things go flying. I bet I could even knock over a
building if I tried." He finished the hotdog. "So do you want to
be friends? You can feed me hot dogs and I will save you from
the evil that lurks in this town. I'm sure it lurks somewhere. I
just haven't found them yet because they are scared. And they
should be because I am Bolt. The very name strikes fear into
their hearts and then they scream like girls and run away." He
smiled at her proudly. "Aren't you glad you found me?"
