Rapunzel smiled at him, forgetting for a moment that she looked
a total wreck. She opened her mouth to speak but was cut off
when her stomach growled quite loudly.

Al patted her shoulders gently. "Let's get you some food, eh?"
he suggested with a good-natured smile, then stood up tall to
see over the crowd. How do apples sound?"

"Alright, be right back."
Al turned and waited for an opening in the crowd, and when he
found one, he pushed his way through to get to the other side,
where the apples were. Now, Al didn't have any money, but he was
a pretty good stealer. At least, he thought so. He saw the man
trying to sell the apples to another person on the street, so he
snuck up to the cart with the apples, and quickly grabbed two
and shoved them in his shirt. He returned to Rapunzel moments
later. "Here you are," he said as he handed her an apple.

Rapunzel had watched the whole thing as best she could through
the crowd. She raised her eyebrows but decided not to question
him on stealing. She was too hungry. "Thanks." She said,
gratefully and began eating the apple eagerly.

"A couple of days." Rapunzel said, after swallowing. "I don't
really know where I was going.. Just away. Anywhere that was
safe." She said, picking at the skin on the apple.
