Rapunzel's smile vanished. "I, um..." She stumbled over her
words looking around her anxiously before almost whispering,
"I'm on the run from dangerous people."

Al's forehead wrinkled. "Dangerous people? What kind of
dangerous people?" he asked, almost sounding angry. Yet, to his
extent of knowledge, he didn't know why.

Rapunzel sighed as she fidgeted with her hair. "They killed my
mother... But they were really after me." She said, quietly,
"I've been on the run for a couple of days now. They need me
alive but... I know they wouldn't have a problem hurting me.."
She looked down at her long hair. It was both a blessing and a
curse but right now it felt only like the latter. She looked up
at Al, feeling tears brimming in her eyes.

Al didn't know what to say. To lose someone as important as a
mother... He just couldn't fathom how much pain she must have
been through. Wordlessly, he pulled her into a hug. After a
while, he whispered a broken, "I'm sorry" into her ear. A few
more moments of hugging and Al pulled back, kneeling down to see
eye-to-eye with her, as she was still behind the barrel. "So
what you're saying is, you need a protector?"

((Awwwwwwwwwww.. That was so sweet. :) ))
Rapunzel sniffled, gratefully hugging him back. This was the
first act of kindess showed towards her since she'd been on the
run. She barely knew Al and yet she already trusted him. She
struggled not to burst out into tears in front of him. "Yes.."
She said, nodding.

Al paused a moment. "Maybe... I could be your bodyguard," he
suggested, knowing that he spent more time in the Dreamscape
than he did in the real world, which would mean he could be with
her almost all the time.

great!" She said, feeling a surge of happiness rush through her.
