Belle and Al meet

After a few day of trying to navigate through the forest, Belle
finally found a town to stop in and restock on supplies, she
hadn't eaten a good meal in a while and was craving real food.
She left Philipe in the forest and made her way into the crowd
of people. She couldn't help but feel overwhelmed, this place
was a lot more hectic then the village where she used to live
and it was hard to figure out where things were. She finally
made her way out of the crowd and walked towards the smell of
fresh bread.

Al had been navigating his way expertly through the crowd; in
this chaotic little market place, he felt as though he was king.
He spotted a young brunette he had never seen before, and
maneuvered himself through the sea of people until he had a
clear view of her from a distance. She was closing in on a small
bread stand, where Al had often times before stolen things from,
so he obviously couldn't get too close. He did, however, stay in
the shadows and watch this girl from a safe distance away.

Belle finally made it to the bread stand and bought a loaf with
the little money she had left. Well, gotta make this last she
thought to herself as she pushed her way through the crowd to an
empty alleyway. She wasn't ready to go back into that forest
just yet so she decided to just eat here, she slid down and sat
against the wall, nibbling at her bread as she watched the crowd
run by.

Al gasped as she came down the alleyway he was in and pressed
himself closer to the wall, his eyes glowing from the shadows.
He had never been so close to someone outside of the crowd
before, let alone been close enough to almost speak with them.
He took note of how beautiful this girl was, and also noted how
strange it was that she was, it seemed, rationing the bread she
had in her hands.

As Belle sat there she couldn't but feel like she was being
watched. She looked around and sure enough she saw to eyes
peering at her from the other side of the alleyway. She sprung
to her feet "Um... Hello... I'm sorry... I thought this ally was
empty" she squinted, trying to get a glimpse of the person. It
was pretty dark but she could faintly make out the shape of a
man

The aforementioned eyes widened with a gasp, and Al poked his
head out slowly from the shadows. "Uh... Hi," he said
hesitantly, eyes shifty.

Belle smiled, the thought that this handsome man who just
emerged from the shadows could be dangerous crossed her mind but
she waved the thought away, she was tired of being scared all
the time... "My names Belle" she said before she could even
think it through.

"Belle... Doesn't that mean 'beauty'?" Al asked without even
thinking. He blinked twice. "Anyways. Hi. I'm Al." He stuck his
dirty hand out for her to shake with a close-mouthed smile.

Belle smiled shyly "yes... yes it does. I never really thought
about that before" she could feel herself starting to blush. She
took his and and shook it "nice to meet you Al... would you like
some bread?" she giggled and held out the loaf

Al gave a small laugh and shook his head, scratching at the back
of his neck out of habit. "Nah, I'm fine. I've got my own.
Thanks though." He smiled at her.
