Cale considered for a moment. He came from a pretty upright
family, though they were kind-
"No." He said quietly, hating himself for being a coward. "No,
nothing. Is there- anything you can think of?" He asked Odette
hopefully, craning his neck up to look at her.

Cale smiled shyly at the girls cheesy lines, but took them to
heart. "My family is very strict, too. My-" He hesitated. He
wanted to keep the fact that he was living in a mental institute
a secret from Odette as long as possible. "My life back home
isn't so great. My family is kind, though they don't have much
time for me. Let's go do something fun, something I've never
done before." His eyes lit up with pleasure.

was roll down hills and get my dress dirty." Odette said,
laughing at the memory.

here?" Cale asked. "It's just that- we're just going into war,
you know? You must have heard of it, on the radio- or do you
have a television? Are you rich?"

"Of course we have Vietnamese food!! Do you mean the Vietnamese
War? Yes, I have a television." Odette laughed. 'So he's from
the past? probably from the 60s or 70s... His last name is the
same as mine... Could he be an uncle?' Odette thought.
