       Heroes & Villains

       ---------------------------------------------------------
Okay now I thought I should address this because a good deal of
people will just insert themselves into the hero/villain role
when instead they just claim the role and end up rushing into
every situation and while they're trying to be glory-hogs they
just end up getting owned/voided and looking silly. Now
naturally every character has a unique backstory and plot events
that expand their character development, but not everyone can be
a hero or villain. In each RP there is usually only 1 main hero
or villain. Now this isn't true always. like in the Naruto RP
there will be 1 hero of every village (for a total of 5) and
they'll be expected to work together. (sorry for the spoilers
:P) but it's just an example to better make my point. There are
specific criteria on how to be a hero or villain. Which i'm
about to layout. the key deciding factor is not that you put
your nose in everyone's business and claim a role. But that it's
more natural and the better you follow the criteria the closer
you get to other players tipping their hat at you and
acknowledging your new found role. (this means that heroes and
villains aren't necessarily decided at the beginning of the
       story but by proving themselves)
       Hero Criteria:
       - the weaker your character starts out, the higher the chance of
them being a hero. Because then we get to see them develop into
skilled and dynamic characters. It's possible to have a
character who starts out with awesome powers, but it makes it
more difficult to take on the hero role.
       - They're likable. If your character is fun, charismatic, or
even cool in some cases can help you. The more people like your
character the higher the chance of being a hero
       - Helping others. The Hero helps people. It doesn't mean they
take the glory from their comrades it just means they help when
they feel needed. I mean hero's have humility and don't need to
constantly prove themselves every single time there's some kind
       of issue.
       - Any Hero needs an interesting backstory that helps us to
       relate to the character.
       Villain Criteria:
       - villain's have to do bad things. Otherwise they're not really
villains. And you can't have every single bad thing they've ever
done be in their backstory and still call them a villain. they
have to also do bad things in the actual RP
       - villains tend to be powerful. Otherwise it's not fun to have 5
good guys gang up on a single bad guy. Just make sure you're
       beatable >_>;
       - villains are arrogant and trash talk. The stronger and more
powers your villain has the more arrogant they have to be. and
the more arrogant they are the less tactical they have to be.
       - villain's NEED a reason to be bad. They can't just be bad for
no reason. Make sure it's an understandable reason. Remember
that villain's are the characters who have some of the most
in-depth character backgrounds, with some of the craziest
powers. But still don't be surprised if everyone and their
brother tries to hunt you down.
