dead ball team

Just messing around a little bit to see if there were a team you
could get where you had a fair shot at points in any
penalty/free kick type scenario and came up with this, it
doesn't look bad though clearly def is a bit expensive :) I
could probably make ivanovic to clyne and get hart in goal. This
team looks surprisingly solid to me, has pretty good subs no
matter what formation you choose and in any dead ball scenario
you get a sweat for points!
id run 4-3-4 :
luiz vert mert Johnson
gerrard Nolan arteta
lambert berb benteke

Nice looking team with plenty of set piece takers it would be a
brave man to go with it from the off but with a little
tweaking(the defence is to loaded) and Whittingham lost his
place late last season so may not start keep an eye on him it
could work well may need some Man city Coverage up top Benteke-
Aguero? is he on pens could maybe free that up with downgrading
the defence.

I didn't know that about whittaker damit! I read benteke was on
penalty duty and I am not convinced aguerro will play a vast
amount yet with all the new fwds brought in. the idea of the
team was to have solid starters who were all on dead ball duty
so you could get some consistency. I picked vert in the hopes he
might play midfield more and his points for 7m become a bit of a
bargin. Baines last season would be ideal in this team but I
don't know whats happening with him and finding an extra million
to upgrade luiz could be tough especially if whittingham is no
long an option.

Yeh your right not knocking the team its very good. I do believe
Benteke is on pens just thinking of cities early season fixtures
easy start. Out of the city forwards I do think Aguero is the
best option on game time as he can play both forward roles where
as Negrado is an out and out forward best suited in the 1 up top
role and Jovetic is a more skillfull player only occupying the
deep lying forward role I just cant see Kun being benched or
subed off in favour of Negrado or Jovetic unless next fixtures
play a part I think he will more than likely play both roles
depending on opponents tactics etc.

citys fixtures are enviable, I just am anxious about the 11.5
million if aguerro, for whatever reason, isn't started. I wanted
to play it safe as much as possible with tis team considering I
think pretty much all our concerns over the squad we want are
whether or not certain players will actually start.
