GAMEWEEK4 AND LOOKING BACK
By: Wiseowl65 Date: September 11, 2013, 4:28 am

Hi guys its been quiet on here of late are you all like me and
pondering what has gone wrong on a very poor last couple of
weeks? If like me your probably questioning why has my team that
looks good on paper and was picked with all the correct calls
seriously underperformed. For me personally my decision making
has been awful and coupled with a big dose of bad luck i.e.
picking home defenders that fail to keep a clean sheet whilst
the away defenders don't concede (I had 21pts from away
defenders on the bench in game week 2 :o) and to many
established players underperforming with limited game time for
Mirallas and Joe Cole and RVP starved of service add to that
less than 10 captain points for both game weeks combined tells
its own story. Well I am aiming to put that right this coming
game week but its not going to be easy as I have just looked at
my side and I have Silva and Sturridge as flagged as injured and
took a 4pt hit to get shut of the dropping Dzeko for Sturridge
early after game week 3 >:( Now we have had the international
break to reflect on our teams lets try and get back on track for
game week 4 with a positive result after all it is still early
season and lots to play for hopefully we get that green arrow
and a team victory to kick start our campaign.

Apologies for my late reply! I have been thinking exactly that
and I decided that going against my gut instinct and taking
un-necessary chances just cost me. This is my second season and
I was maybe a little naïve in not realising how important solid
starters were, I took a gamble on a couple of players which in
hindsite weren't good (im looking at you lukaku!!!...and rat a
little bit). Ive had to take a bit of a point hit this week to
get out some injured players but im much happier with how my
team is now looking and by next week I should be in full swing.
The plan is, slowly, coming together and our campaign can
continue mwhahahahaha!

Though I understand frustration, I reacted on impulse in my
previous three seasons. That brought me >100k in the first few
GWs, I ended regularly below 500k coming Christmas, only to find
that if I kept my original GW1-2 team, I'd be in the top 100k at
the same time (most prominent examples being selling Bale and
RVP somewhere around GW5 last year due to their poor returns).
This time, I'll wait. No chasing price rises, keeping calm and
see where that will bring me. Taking a punt only at one unproven
player at the time, having an extra mil or so in the bank so I
can be prepared if someone stands up as a must have from big
guns.

apart from my genius at transferring out baines and subbing
coleman and having WBA score in the 90th minute vs hangeland I
feel pretty good about this week, though it did cost me 12
points to replace Johnson and silva....
