here is my current team for gw2 with thoughts:
mingolet /boruc
zabaleta baines coleman reid shaw - im not sure who to leave on
the bench here. Reid has NEW (a) and Shaw has SUN (h), Newcastle
looked appaling but that was vs city and might not be so dire,
sunderland looked equally bad vs Fulham and I think shaw has a
little bit more of a chance to score so im slightly more tempted
with shaw here.
toure silva barkley ramsey cole - toure silva and barkley with
ramsey and cole on the bench though I would be happy with almost
any combination. Im not a huge fan of arsenal players at the
moment and Walcott could be a HUGE risk if they continue as they
started but at 5.5 I think ramsey could be a cheap way of
getting into their team and if he plays at all like he did in
the champions league the other night 5.5 is a colossal bargin.
soldado benteke wolf - soldado seems now to be less of a risk
given his European performance, benteke also seems like a fairly
solid choice and im really not wanting to get rid of him in case
he rises again, if he scores vs Liverpool he might be kinda an
essential pick. Wolf has a great fixture vs hull and I just
couldn't find another striker I really liked apart from city,
but then again I couldn't find a huge amount of midfielders I
liked apart from city! the other adv of wolf is hes only 7m,
this gives me 3.5 m in the bank....
gw3: I actually don't need to change anything for gw3, mingolet
I can play 4 def with shaw on the bench, 4 mid with ramsey on
the bench and soldado/wolf up front all with very good fixtures.
It is a little annoying that I cant swop in boruc for mingolet
as then id have a striker vs my goalie but boruc could be
changed for someone else I suppose.
gw4: here I can swop out baines for token 4m defender ( not
ideal I know ) which means I can upgrade wolf to RVP who plays
CRY. This plan does hope that RVP doesn't rise to be
prohibitively expensive but I could take a bit of a hit and
downgrade someone else worse comes to worse. ramsey comes in for
barkley here and I can play 3-4-3
gw5: this is a terrible week as id have 3 city vs 1 utd and 2
everton vs 2 west ham and I think it might just be one of those
things I have to take on the chin.
apologies for slight wall of text....

When in doubt I virtually always choose the defenders playing at
home.

Doesn't look bad, especially long term. I still think Soldado
and Wolf are yet unproven (I'd wait to see at least 3 games in
Premiership to come to the conclusion) so taking a punt on both
of them is a bit risky. But, then again, Soldado(c) could give
you a nice score this week.
