Yeah I changed it slightly to get zabaleta back in. Does anyone
think ramsey is that bad now? hes 5.5, looked sensational in the
champions league game and must surely be getting a lot of play
time given arsenals injury woes, if he gets a bit better at
having shots on goals, he could do well.

Yes Ramsey is a good shout for 5.5m he looks in good form,
playing further forward in the absence of Arteta but will most
likely revert deeper again when Arteta returns? Good short term
pick given Arsenals fixtures imo.

I'm currently mid wild card.
My team is currently just ideas whilst I wait for all the price
rises. Depending on who rises, I won't build my team until Sat
am. My team will include as many price risers that have the
potential for long term success backed up by other players with
an already positive trend towards a price rise.
I'm currently swinging towards a non RVP team. It's a pretty big
call for this week since if I go down this route I won't have
him week 4 and even getting him in long term may be near
impossible. The key swing vote will be how many cheap players
are rising and have risen come Sat morning who are essential to
bring RVP in.

I think this is quite a key point you raise regarding wc and
RVP, I think if you DONT have RVP now it will be a real struggle
to include him later. I don't think hes essential to having a
great team but I keep thinking of the fact that if you made him
captain last season every game that's 25 % of your points....
Currently my thoughts are:
mingolet / boruc
zabaleta toure coleman /shaw whittaker
silva coutinho nolan barkley / ramsey
RVP dzeko benteke
This seems a fairly solid long term chasis for a team. The real
question is how bad long term will having 0 Chelsea players be?
I could RVP>soldado and upgrade Nolan to hazard as a gw7 plan.
Though I think have 2m in the bank and nothing really to spend
it on...
As an aside, Martinez seems quite confident in Barkley, he could
be the michu everyone is looking for.

This is something I came up with:
Boruc / 4.0 bench warmer
Reid - Shaw - Toure - Zabaleta - Coleman
Coutinho - Walcott - Cole - Barkley - 4.5 enabler (Delph,
Jedinak - Lucas would eat Liverpool space, and I want Suarez)
Benteke - RVP - Dzeko
+ 2.5mil in the bank
- will monitor how situation with Dzeko develops and then go for
Bony/Soldado/Giroud (in this case, Walcott->Silva), whoever is
on form
- plan to play 4-3-3 (due to BPS system) - Reid and Shaw rotate
well, so do Barkley and Cole
- I'd like to bring one of Chelsea defenders, but that would
compromise Dzeko upgrade in the future
My keeper conundrum is that I'd rather have Begovic or Jaask,
but that eats into my budget (it doesn't if I switch Reid->4.0
enabler, but then I'd end up with two enablers, which I'm not
sure I want). Also, I don't think I want Chelsea offensive
players as it seems that Mourinho closes the game after 1:0 up.
Thoughts?

First off I had the exact same thought pre about Chelsea,
mourinho always played "get ahead, lock it up" so you rarely get
the chance to really shine with your attacking players. Having
said that both Oscar and hazard look incredibly good so its hard
to not be tempted.
I like the 4-x-x system and i'm going to probably try it out in
gw2.
I really like your team setup. I am not sure if id sacrifice
mingolet for boruc, boruc does have a great fixture run but then
so does mingolet in a couple of weeks and id rather not use a
transfer on a keeper...it is tempting now you mention it
though...
I would like to have money to upgrade someone to ivanovic but I
don't really see how I can get 2.5 in the bank with my team. You
make a very good point that I think everyone seems to have
forgotten that suarez is waiting in the wings to be put into
teams if he's anything like the player he was last season.

I would be concerned that I had no 2nd keeper to rotate plus I
think you mention two 4.5m midfielders I think one is enough
Barkley may play short term but there is no guarantee he is a
permanent fixture upon Gibsons return. Defence looks fine maybe
downgrade Reid to Collins and free up .5 to spend with the extra
2.5m in reserve on a 2nd keeper and better midfield option?

Thanks for the insight, guys.
I was thinking about Collins, not sure if he is a definite
starter. 2nd keeper was also somewhat of a concern, that would
solve .5 mil needed.
Barkley is a short term option; since the idea is 4-3-3, I can
afford (to certain extent) having him not playing and upgrading
at that point to someone like Snodgrass, but I think we'll get
some medium priced MF emerging as a must have. I am aware that
my midfield needs streghtening, hence 2.5mil in the bank - would
be great if Bony proves that he is the real deal and then
upgrade someone to Mirallas.

I quite like reid as a 5th defender.
I cant quite get passed having what seems like it might be a
weak midfield but im not sure that's just because its q

This team looks pretty good.
As already said I would strongly hesitate at not having a second
playing keeper. Barkley is a mini gamble as it is and at some
stage you are likely to have to move him on. I think you would
benefit in the long run by investing a little more in the 5th
midfielder.
I'm still not convinced over Dzeko's game time. He is great
value however and may be worth the risk as long as you always
have a plan b.
