Role Play Rules

Greetings users of the Role Play board!
To ensure that this board is entertaining to all users, we will
be setting ground rules. Some of these might be obvious and you
can look them over, but know that human stupidity has no
boundaries, so we're putting this stuff here anyway.
1: No major roleplay of other people's characters. You have your
own character with your own motives in whatever story they are
in. Control this character and no one else. You can write
dialogue for other characters and minor actions, but you cannot
make the decisions and major actions of other characters. This
is basic courtesy.
2: You cannot majorly injure or kill a PC without permission
from the owner. A scrape, bruise or tossed on a table is
acceptable, but be careful that these things are within known
character motivation. Otherwise, leave any major decision or
harming action's results in the hands of the owners of the PC.
3: This is an R rated forum. There will be blood, there will be
swearing, there will be sexual material. Please understand that
we are adults.
4: This is an R rated forum. But we're not immature either.
Overuse of any violence, profanity or sexual material for the
sake of childish shock will not be tolerated.
5: No God mode, unless you are literally playing God. Even then,
have weaknesses. Seriously, God mode is not interesting for
stories and roleplay. Accept criticism if you're called out on
God mode, and be extremely courteous when calling it out.
6: Be nice, this is all for practice. Everyone has a first time
for everything; world building, character building, character
playing, weakness and strength changing. You're going to screw
up, and someone is going to screw up. Be nice in approaching
those people, and be nice in responding to criticism. If we
can't learn from our mistakes or from advice on character action
and motivation, we have failed as writers, RPers, and
storytellers.
If shit goes down, we will add new rules. So please, don't make
us add stuff because you were unpleasant.
After all of that, you're ready for RPing!
