       Creating the World

Okay, so I think we have all been having a little trouble with
the novel, and I think the reason is, because we have absolutely
no idea what the world around them is like. So as a solution to
this problem I created this board and topic so that way everyone
could weigh in on creating the world. I figured this would be
the best solution for everyone, because then we will all have a
better understanding of the world we are writing our characters
       into.
Okay so the first thing we need to decide is what kind of
enviorments this world is going to have.
Are there going to be deserts, wintery areas, etc.
       What do you all think?

Hmm... I imagined the place where the characters first meet to
be a temperate and densely wooded forest, and having a bit of a
whimsical/magical feel to it. Y'know, spotted mushrooms, moss,
big trees, bushes with lots of berries/flowers, etc.
As for deserts and such (and let's remember that the definition
of desert does NOT mean hot and sandy place where no one can
live) I think we could wait until we get more into the plot.
Perhaps there will be a wintery vally of death later on, but for
now: forest. At least, that's what I was thinking.
