The adventure started when all the characters were summoned by
Rognvaldr, King of Barder Town, to retrieve a shipment from the
Monastery of the Yellow Rose, lead by Grandmaster of Flowers
Dik, Senior Monk of the Yellow Rose. Rognvaldr promised to pay
the party compensation for their task and gave the party a
temporary Adventuring Charter, giving them rights to keep a
percentage of the loot and carry weapons within the lands of
       Grand Halen.
Along the road the party defeated some wolves, and ran away from
a platoon of orcs near the town of Mullmaster, which has become
increasingly dangerous! Continuing along the next morning, the
party eventually encountered an overturned caravan, with several
monks belonging to the Yellow Rose dead. Finishing off the
remaining orcs quickly enough, one priest was spared a death -
his name is _________. It was determined that the orcs gathered
were only a scouting party, so the party should proceed quickly
       to the Fortress-Monastery.
Soldier Monks lined the great steeping walls of the mountain
stronghold, constructed from grey stone. Inside the party was
greeted by the Grandmaster and presented a map of the world,
with striking detail. The Grandmaster's immense skill was not
lost on the party, as he had obviously become a master of
       knowledge.
The saved priest gladly escorts the party to where Rognvaldr's
books are held and evening festivities continue in the main
dining hall, until the funeral for the dead priests is held
       shortly before "lights-out".
       *From the original source documents*
Grandmaster gives you a collection of chapters titled,
       “Enchanting Symphonies by Siebach Johbastian”
+Books are rather mundane, meant for nothing more than a
       spirited performance
-Conversation with the High-Priest, a very hospitable and happy
man, knows perhaps more about the world than any other mortal
       man
+Vast library, mahogany bookshelves almost reaching the 50ft
ceiling. Lit by candles and open skylights in roof. The
High-Priest’s circular office/reception desk is located in
center/front near the entrance of the library, he is dwarfed by
the architecture around him and reads at his desk using a single
       candle
+High-priest is shaved head monk-like. Very very very old, yet
peculiarly vital. simple white robes with silver emblem on the
trim and a broach of their gods’ emblems
+Shows a map of the world (bring out map of the world)
+Offers to answer any questions of the world that the PCs have
-Have dinner with the priests, a simple meal in a viking hall
       with long tables
+Minimal conversation, but environment and people seem warm and
       very kind, (they’re monks)
+The monk they saved thanks them again for saving his life,
complains about the Orcs and their backwards, barbaric god “our
GOD is the only righteous god” Tells them the secret of their
portals, the one with the key can travel anywhere
       -Are shown to their bedchamber(s)
In the middle of the night, the party wakes up from screaming
noises outside, only for a priest to bust into their bed
chambers. Before the priest can say anything, he is impaled
through the torso, dying rather quickly. Behind him stood
       several orcs!
Dealing with the orcs, the party investigated the now burning
halls of the Monastery. Everyone seemed to be heading for the
entrance to defend the Monastery, but the Captain ordered the
party to retrieve and protect the Grandmaster. Arriving in the
Grandmaster's chamber, he was alone meditating in front of a
       rattling steel door.
The players were asked to first retrieve a valuable "Portal Key"
from his study, before they descended through the secret floor
staircase. Before reaching the key, the steel door broke
revealing several orcs. The "average looking" orcs were quickly
dispatched by the Grandmaster, however a One-Eyed Orc flawlessly
parried every blow the Grandmaster threw.
The party decided to follow the Grandmaster's request and
retrieved the key - but their decision had sealed the
       Grandmaster's fate.
The one-eyed orc was too much even for the Grandmaster, impaling
him into the wall shouting "I am Thorax the Impaler, One Eyed
Exarch of Gruumush! I have slain your leader and no one can
stand before my might!" Using their bought time, the party
escaped before the situation could get any worse.
Heavy-hearted the party returned to Barder Town with a fraction
of the monastery's population and a mysterious "Portal Key",
later revealed to control the portal inside the Monastery,
linked to all other portals in all of Faerun.
Rognvaldr paid them for their services and offered a full-time
position as a chartered company. The party agreed and was
assigned Blaster, as a personal escort for the party.

This is what that monastery looked like, so people have a good
idea of how awesome it was.
