History
Denerim's ancient history goes back to the formation of the Sea
of Fallen stars, where the Ancient Elven Queen Mystranaa lead
the nomadic Moon Eladrin to Highmoon, where she watched Selune's
tears fill the the world before her.
Whether myth or legend, the elves occupied all lands down to the
fledgling nation of Cormyr.
Between the arrival of humans in the lands and the departure of
the elves, the vacuum attracted powerful foes. The Netherese
came in on flying fortresses, which could materialize out of the
Shadows at dusk. None could escape their terrifying might.
Records show, however, that upon arrival of the first humans,
the lands were deserted - nothing more than animals to be found.
More recent history shows Denerim being occupied by merchant
outcasts. Many of the coastal towns could not fish, and many
inner towns could not farm, and with the second coming of the
Netherese the nation remained under the control of Netheril for
several generations.
The occupation was eventually ended due to King Delphinius and
Cormyrn Purple Knights.
Civilization
Today the average person is still very poor. Occupation and war
have taken a huge toll on the nation's population and
technology. The forests north of Highmoon and Ashabenford
provide reasonable sources of income. The only appreciable towns
remain Highmoon and Scardale.

The people are content to no longer be occupied, and are happy
to respect their courageous leader.
Rumors
-Possible Netherese artifacts are still left to be found, hidden
in the unoccupied fields and forests scattered around Denerim.
-Some locals west of Highmoon have reported seeing figures
similar to that of Netherse
-The people in Scardale dare not cross the border into the
Dales, fearing for their lives. While most people of Denerim
dare not step foot near the Dale River at all.
-Daerlun locals are afraid of armed conflict with the Lizardmen
of Vast Swamp, while Cormyr has been reportedly doing military
exercises near-by.
-East of Archenbridge, in the Deeping Dale, an adventuring party
said they saw a bright white light emerging from a lake deep in
the forest.
