*Hey now, Durango Daniel is actually pretty handsome, in a
rugged sort of way.*
Durango Daniel greets the dwarves and gnomes warmly in the cold
morning air, and says, "Sure is nice to share the road with
other folk. Makes the miles go by faster'n a prairie hen in
Kythorn, though if you're not careful, you can miss some mighty
pretty sights!" He listens to their talk of coal, waves back at
the farmers with his handkerchief, and then whistles and says,
"Boy, I'll bet it gets mighty cold out here, but seems a bit
warm for this time of the season. Folks back home would have
them sheep in barns weeks ago, and them crops'd be done for too.
Between this and them rainstorms, y'all have been havin some
queer weather of late, huh?"
As the party rides into town, Durango Daniel pats Peppercorn and
says, "Well would ya look at that, girl! A warm bed for me and a
dry manger for you! We ain't lived in this sort of luxury for...
Well I can't quite recall how long, but believe you me it's been
a while!" While the sun is still up, Durango Daniel is going to
take a stroll around the town to get a sense for what kind of
place it is, and try to find any particularly interesting or
unusual features. (He's sightseeing more than investigating)

Driving the cart, George responds, "Aye, Giants be no joke. My
brother, Durgan, he's told me stories about his post on the Deep
Roads - old tunnels connecting some of the Dwarven cities. Every
few years they'll hear stories about some men, grey skin and
bald heads, as tall as our grandest statues of Muradin lurking
'round the Roads. One of my uncles lost his life from a boulder
those steinjotun tossed at his patrol." He sighs. "But us
dwarves and gnomes are at least better acquainted with Giantkind
than you surface dwellers... though I don't know much 'bout some
of these surface jotun."
He laughs to himself, "also the ore won't sell itself - if some
of the surface merchants are scared, more profit for us, eh
boys?"
The Sleeping Dragon certainly puts on the air of it being a nice
and warm place to spend a night. With a room in the inn, Durango
and the rest of the party are allowed to park their horses in
the stable. The yak also finds a warm home in the stable. George
says to Durango, "We'll be in the Sleeping Dragon for the night,
might see you there. Be good."
Most of the homes are constructed of a combination of wooden
walls and stone hearths. Some people greet you kindly as they
bring their dishes inside for the evening. The main square with
a well has some vacant shops, with signs for fruits and
vegetables and grains. Guards bearing the symbol of The Lord's
Alliance regularly patrol the main road through the town between
the two gates and the barracks. The keep looks in disrepair,
with almost half of it missing - certainly not used anymore,
surrounded by trees in the western part of town.

A sight smile grows over Clunks face as he listens to the tale
strung by George "Aye, ill be on the lookout for these beasts".
____
After unloading all of the gear clunk enters the tavern and gets
a room for himself, than makes his way to the bar area. He
looks around quickly judging the characters in the room for who
is the drunkest and playing anytype of gambling game and sit
down at the table and says "I'ma join you, what yall playing
for?"

invites them to the aforementioned trees for a friendly

Durango Daniel tips his hat and says a friendly "Howdy" to
anyone who greets him as he passes.
Does the keep look likes its been ruined for a while, or was it
recently busted up? Either way, if it looks like no one is
guarding it, Daniel is going to go explore it to see if there's
anything cool inside (again, he's more interested in sightseeing
than looking for anything in particular, although he does have
passive perception 21)
If there is anyone guarding the ruined keep, he'll ask, "Say,
you fellers know what happened to that there keep? Must've been
something mighty strong to break down a building like that."

Following many eventful days of travel from Amphail involving
some orcs, halflings, a magic javelin, an Order of the Gauntlet
Knight and some orphaned children, the Red Larch All Faiths
Shrine, and a lord's birthday party ruined by some hill giants,
the party arrived in Triboar.
Meeting the Lord Protector of the town, Darathra Shendrel, she
mentioned how the Harper's may have forgotten about her outpost,
as she hadn't been receiving much word about the recent Giant
activities. The party stayed in Triboar for the night with
Urgala Meltimer, the owner of the Northshield House and her
three Mastifs.
After a brief visit with Master Wainwrite of Wainwrite's Wagons,
the town fell under assault by Fire Giants and their forces.
Orcs riding axebeaks followed by plate clad Orogs and Magmins
poured into town slaying several peasants and destroying
buildings. The party spread their lines thinly, aiming for a
strategy to maximise protecting the town. Despite sustaining a
considerable amount of damage, the party succeed in defending
the town. But not before the Fire Giants left with their prize -
"We seek elevate ourselves. We seek the 'Vonindod'," said the
Giants in response to Durango's questioning.
The woman, Victoria, whom Popo saved, expresses her overflowing
gratitude following the defence. "I've lost my home, but you
saved my life Brave Surfer Dude!" She kisses Popo on the cheek,
"let me make you some dinner, if you're staying in town," she
says.
The company adds three further quests to their logs including:
Darathra Shendrel asking the party to seek out Dral Thelev in
Everlund, the innkeeper of Danivarr's House.
Urgala Meltimer mentions that her adventuring party was once
gifted a weapon of Giantslaying by dwarves many many years ago,
and that the now retired wealthy knight Lord Harthos Zymorven
was the one of their party to wield it. He resides to the
nothwest of Silverymoon.
And lastly the rapier wielding man, identified as Othovir,
volunteers information regarding a nefarious family said to be
hoarding powerful treasure in Silverymoon known as the Margaster
family.

Darathra and many of the rest of Triboar gather around their
burned down houses, the Apothecary owned by Tarmock Felskur, a
few farm houses as well as Othovir's Harness Shop. The dead are
put on stretchers and brought to the town center. Those that
died from the orcs are cleaned by their crying families, and
those that died at the hands of the magmins are covered with
clothes.
(Durango Daniel has the bronze pocketwatch and the silver bangle
belonging to the hunters)
"Now is when we ask Pelor for support and guidance, for he is
kind and will show us the way to acceptance," says Urgala.

Pre funeral Clunk is going to loot the orcs and orogs for items
of value, tie up the two axe beaks and help put out the fires.
He will not help move the human bodies to the graveyard, but
will pile the orc bodies for burning or whatever disposal. (can
clunk push the large stones?) He will bandage himself and clean
the blood and guts from his axe. Post Funeral he will talk to
the resting party "We should go to silverymoon, have heard of a
giant slayer weapon there As well as a hoard of powerful
treasure! More Loot is always good" Clunk laughs "or more coin,
from there we can track down either this Drall Theleve or the
fire giants."

In terms of loot:
several greatswords (x12 of varying quality)
4 slings,
necklace of animal teeth (Natural Lore check to determine what
kind)
a deep blue looking gem (Natural Lore / Trade Lore check to
determine what kind / appraise)
coins: 480 sp + 45 gp
The large stones require you and several other people to help,
though you're almost able to push them by yourself. The pile of
orc bodies are burned following the funerals for the humans -
the man you saw sweeping the campgrounds seems to take the lead
for this job.
The party and the remaining townsfolk make sure the fire's don't
spread any further and sweep the ashes of the exploded magmins
aside.
