Viri returns from his pleasure cruise with Plenty and Coco
Jones, and drops them off in Bardertown. He sits around the
Fallen Bar Company for a few days, drinking heavily, before
packing up his things. He informs Asmundr that he must take a
leave of absence, but that he will return to resume his duties
with the Fallen Star Company by the new year. He sets off on his
sloop, and is not seen for the rest of the time skip.

TIMESKIP STUFF!
Clunk is going to buy an axe(of the woodcutting style) and
pickax from a local store. And for the next couple of weeks
there will be a continuous and loud noise coming from Clunks
office within the Arena. Once he finishes what he was doing in
there, he fights and duels with the fighters who he personally
recruited. He then gives 1000g to Diego for the purpose of
recruitment and advertisement for the Arena as well as figuring
out a mission statement. Clunk then will go to local prisons
and jail cells, peasant towns and local shepards and find people
willing to fight for money and stay at the arena (it has a
barracks), and to buy prisoners from the local magistrates for
people to fight for their freedom, or if debtor to "work" off
their debt.
Upon finishing with his tour around the country, Clunk will
travel to the Castle(NEEDS A NAME PPL) owned by the FSC. On his
way he will cut long branches and pick up big sticks and carve
them into spears(between 25-25 of them). Once he reaches his
destination he will teach all males how to use a spear and basic
defensive formations to guard a castle door. Using his
woodcutting axe he will chop down trees surrounding the castle
to make a small clearing and teach some of the males how to cut
and move wood back safely. Instructing some of them to also
learn carpentry to help restore the buildings of the place.
Diego the druid, Former member of Ilha Mercador druid circle is
now the current warden and manager of the Arena.
Pele, Former member of the Marsamuch clan is now a Gladiator in
the Arena. With a record of 7 and 3 he has earned himself quite
a name for himself, his clansman and him are both rising stars
in the arena and starting to earn themselves fame as rising
stars and the nicknames Fierce Bear twins, for their similar
fighting styles. But once the noise in Clunks office stops. He
is often seen dueling the Arena Master himself.
Pablo, Former member of the Marsamuch clan is now a Gladiator in
the Arena. With a record of 8 and 2 he has earned himself quite
a name for himself, his clansman and him are both rising stars
in the arena and starting to earn themselves fame as rising
stars and the nicknames Fierce Bear twins, for their similar
fighting styles . But once the noises quiet from Clunks office.
He is often seen dueling with the Arena Master himself.

Geoffrey decides that some time between adventures and with the
new castle he should spend some time reequipping himself to deal
with the new challenges ahead, and redouble his efforts to
locate Elincia.
Geoffrey is using this opportunity to build up an information
network where he is one of the heads. He dubs it the Order of
Whispers. I'm using the organisation progression system outlined
in this site.
(
HTML http://www.runagame.net/2015/07/what-to-use-gold-for-in-5e-d.html)<br
/>
1,000 GP for a Mission Statement: "Fight what cannot be fought.
Know what cannot be known." The mission statement emphasises the
use of knowledge to prevent tyrannical authority of any kind
threatening good people everywhere.
Known Oppositions: The Black Network, a large and connected
group of mercenaries who will carry out any action for a price.
Chromatic Dragons (and the Cult of Tiamat): Chromatic dragons
can be known to meddle in mortal affairs, disguising themselves
as trustworthy advisors, whereas they wish to only further their
own nefarious goals.
Lolth Spies: skilled at infiltration and difficult to pin down.
The influence of Lolth cannot be allowed to spread
3,000 GP for 3 Goals - these are meant to be realistic milestone
goals with clear direction:
1) Investigate the whereabouts of Princess Elincia and the ties
to the Underdark
2) Gather political currency in regions neighbouring Grand Halen
- Denerim, Cormyr, Damara, Impiltur, Ilha Mercador
3) Monitor high profile threats internal and external in the
above regions
Geoffrey also spends some time collaborating with Olly and
hiring, if he will have it, going around to orphaned children,
asking them for what they have heard on the streets, paying them
small amounts of coin for their time.
Geoffrey makes sure to speak with Theodora about the Shadowsworn
bow, deciding that despite the bow's powers, it is better off
having no possible control over him. He asks Theodora to decurse
the bow and pays her 50 gp for her services.
Any remaining time will be spent in the keep, developing some
sort of relationship with the workers there, reviewing their
hunting and archery skills. He will also try to make some
antitoxin with his poisoner's kit and herbs gathered nearby.
Geoffrey spends some time converting a small part of the keep
into a space he can use to craft poisons and write letters to
some of his new associates.

With his 65 ft flying MS Ollyfein is able to cover ground very
efficiently. Anywhere and in any form he appears Olly speaks and
shares grain with local birds, chatting with them about the
weather, sightings, and roosting patterns...inviting them to
visit his roost. At the various towns he quietly approaches
orphans with a little a bird which he has play with them, giving
them a bit of food or coin to recruit the orphans into the Order
of Whispers. (for these situations Olly may use Fey Presence to
charm a bird if his persuade doesn't work)
Conscripting a local carpentry team Olly has the Fallen Bar
Co. renovated. In particular building a lofted performance stage
in a way that both increases seating capacity and bolsters
acoustics. During the construction Olly may have implemented a
lockable hidden trap door behind the stage. Flying back to town
to perform in shows, he afterwards melds into the crowds and
gathers information about local events and feelings. A wealthy
lifestyle will be afforded through Ollyfeins performances.
Playing lyre along with Solomon and various guest performers
perhaps featuring Asmundyr at times, Olly also contributes pop
synths and bass & drum loops via minor illusion and
prestidigitation.
I researched what must be done to establish some lucrative
trade deals with the Gulthandori and Nadine.
On a 1 week trip to Gulthandor he speaks with Gremion.
Bearing a package of gifts for the Red Fox, Olly assess' his
well being and ability, offering that he may be happier as a
good doing adventurer and that he is welcome to accompany Olly
in friendship. While with Gremion he asks for plentiful seed;
fruit trees, vegetables, bean, wheat and oat seeds suitable for
the climate to help a sundered land. He even tries to persuade
Gremion to return with him to the stronghold to aid the broken
people. Whatever Gremmy is unable to provide Olly seeks out by
stopping at other towns during his travel, offering some humble
coin for seed. He speaks with Nadine about trade deals.
Olly then heads from Gulthandor to 'The Roosthold' with the
seeds. He explains each seed to the people and how to care for
the plants, producing an agricultural lore book he purchased. He
has the people till parts of the land cleared by Clunk into
plots, managed communally and establishing a composting system
with which to mix with goat manure and fertilize the crops. Olly
sacrifices sorcery points and slots to cast watery sphere
multiple times a day; watering the plots of land. We have no
need for scarecrows for all the birds in the area already know
to respect his process. Olly checks any tree in which a birds
nest lies for that tree will be painted and therefore not cut
down. A variety of local birds of prey keep the farmland clear
of pests such as rodents.
After a days work he'd return to the topmost tower room which
he converted into his own roost. There he shares kernels of corn
with his bird friends. In the silence of the night one can hear
the faint coos and hoots of chattering going on into the night.
Going out and foraging for herbs Olly makes his own paints and
dyes which he uses to teach the children how to paint in
addition to the normal lessons, using the supplies purchased
from town to teach reading and writing. The painting lessons
include illustrating 'family' or 'fey symbols.' the singing
lessons include basic fey incantations. Painted images of Ollys
'Magic Bell' will now adorn the walls of their playroom.
Anivia will receive a piece of romantic artwork, given to her in
secret, perhaps in Ollys' Roost. In his chamber is the hearth,
kept lit with his create bonfire spell. His bed and pillows
stuffed with archgriffon feathers and lined with cashmere
bedding. An easel. A lyre and its pestle. A single book (the
journal from the ice tower which he studies) Jars of various
herbs scavenged while foraging. Some decorative flowers- potted.
Anyone who enters his chamber will see an array of dignified
birds along various pestled railings just inside the open
vaulted french doors which lead to the small stone terrace
out-looking the valley. A falcon or hawk might watch curiously
as smaller sparrows and larks flutter about you, landing on a
shoulder or outstretched hand. Next to a thick leather gauntlet
is a meat platter, pick it up and one of the birds of prey will
fly to your arm for a snack. (DM can roll if I make acquaintance
with a natural giant eagle)
Olly repeatedly uses Heart Sight on Solomon until his alignment
is determined.
Olly often invites both Theodora and Edwina to performances.
Though he only visits her once a month for magic lessons, he
regularly sends his sprite to Edwina for further tutoring in
various subjects such as elvish, sylvan, foraging, poisons
Flying to Briarhold he seeks audience with Sir Manfred as an
emissary from Asmundyr. First he will deliver a message that
while we are regretful how things ended up, we apologize for
intruding on your home. Next that the FSC claims responsibility
for deposing Le Coq, suggesting that he earlier promised a
reward for such a deed.

While at first Clunk's martial training efforts are hampered by
the malnutrition of the villagers, by the end of the downtime
they have regained their strength and prove to be proficient
spearmen. Many of the people of the castle are quite familiar
with woodcutting, and several already do it professionally. They
take well to Clunk's instruction. Additionally, the carpenter
and his apprentice manage to provide the other villagers with
instruction in rudimentary construction techniques (squaring and
measuring boards, joining pieces, etc.), and they are able to
fully repair the houses and gate by the end of the downtime.
After Geoffrey explains the dark desires of the bow to her,
Theodora is more than happy to remove its curse. As she performs
the ritual, a ghastly scream echoes through the halls of the
museum, as the shade that inhabited the bow is ripped from this
plane of existence. (Consult David as to what this means
statwise.)
Initially, the castle peasants are weary of Geoffrey's presence,
most of them having never seen a Drow before, and only having
heard tales of their barbarity in the Underdark. However, they
give him the benefit of the doubt, since he helped save them
from the Mad Preacher, and before long, they warm to him.
Geoffrey finds that while most of the adults have some
experience hunting, the most proficient among them are Pelé dos
Santos, Ruby Fletcher, and Martin and Jien Evergreen.
The construction of the stage at the Fallen Bar Company costs
Olly 240 gold, and the effect is very noticeable. Now it seems
that much of the traffic through the Inn is specifically for the
performances on the stage. Olly even gets a request from a
traveling theater company, The Goldenfold Player's Caravan, to
perform on your stage.
The Agricultural Almanac costs Olly 25 gold, and is a well worn
book bound in soft leather, written several years ago by a Mayor
Harriet Stonewall from Calaunt (a large town in the breadbasket
of Grand Halen, the West). Though the castle residents are
unable to read it, they take to heart most of what Olly reads to
them. It's hard work, and the soil is poor, but you manage to
get a harvest of pumpkins, beets, carrots, and greens before the
frost comes, though most of them are rather small. Olly thinks
it will take some time before the benefits of the compost begin
to show.
The young maidens are quite excited to paint the trees, and
decorate them with a variety of geometric patterns and animal
figures typical of woven textiles from the Northern Fallen stars
region. They are suspicious, however, of the fey incantations
that Olly tries to teach them, saying that it reminds them too
much of stories they've heard of Black Agnes and her wicked
spells.
Olly determines that Solomon's alignment is Good.
Sir Manfred seems unconvinced, and says that the reward is for
anyone who brings him Le Coq himself, dead or alive. Since the
FSC has neither, he cannot give them any reward.

Asmundr
By: Rognvaldr Date: December 18, 2016, 2:53 am
---------------------------------------------------------
Asmundr uses the 5 months of downtime almost exclusively
fulfilling the responsibilities of a CEO. He searches out a
proper place for a temple to Pelor, of course looking for the
most cost-efficient option, which can be used as a sort of
charity center, and scouts out clerics and peoples which would
be skilled at assisting the starving and the sick. Asmundr also
helps Clunk oversee training and operations of our peasant
workforce, designing work-shifts and goals for mining and
logging. I search out any mining operations which I can buyout
in Grand Halen, preferably dwarven, in order to expedite
profits. Asmundr continues giving food tokens to beggars on the
street. I of course spend any freetime performing at the FBC.
In an effort to outfit the largely combat-unskilled villagers of
Stonehenge, I go to Imoptak's Goods from the East in Ilha
Mercador and purchase weapons which do not require extensive
training to operate: 2 Arrow Cannons and 10 extra
charges(1000gp+3,000gp), 10 firelances w/ 4 extra charges
each(3,000gp+6,000), and 12 firebombs (2400gp). Total:
15,400gp/1,540pp. Asmundr teaches the villagers how to use these
weapons and asks Clunk to design defensive tactics around their
use.
Speaking to the Collector, Asmundr requests a scroll of Speak
with Dead for 250gp. I also request him to set up 3 Glyphs of
Warding set to trigger when the model hut from the center of the
glyph is crushed. I set them at the back section of the castle,
and store Leomund's Tiny Hut in each, I explain to the
Stonehengers that this a safe place to fall back to in case of
emergency (250gpx3+200x3=1350gp). I also buy a dust of
disappearance from him and give them to the villagers,
explaining how they can use this to escape detection (375gp). I
also ask the Collector to set a Glyph of Warding at the bridge,
set to explode when someone yells, "DIVER DOWN!" (250gp).
Asmundr finds Delphineus and retinue at the Fallen Bar Company
and give him a hug and asks, "Grandfather, if you want to, the
Company has acquired a castle near the dragon falls, there are
good people there and we are restocking it and beginning
profitable operations, we would be honored to host you there for
your exile. How did you escape anyways?"
Total expenditure: 1540pp+222.5pp= -1762.5pp
Lifestyle: Comfortable (2gp/day x 150= -30pp)
Profits:
Fallen Bar Company (+15 for performances and managers, -10

26(-4) + 91(+8) + 23(-4) + 58(0) + 56(0) + 29(-4) + 8(-8) +
95(+8) + 26(-4) + 45(+0)= +4x7= +2.8pp

To Geoffrey: Theodora explains that it is an Oathbow, and can be
attuned with by the process of a ritual Oath, similar to that
which paladins take. You may choose from several Oaths, which
may be taken at appropriate temples:
*Paladin UA comes out Sunday/Monday, so we can wait for more
options then. The bow is as was described, but without the
curse, and with one of these features added.*
Oath of Devotion:
Honesty. Don't lie or cheat. Let your word be your promise
Courage. Never fear to act, thouh cation is wise.
Compassion. Aid others, protect the weak, and puish those who
threaten them. Show mercy to your foes, but temper it with
wisdom.
Honor. Treat others with fairness, and let your honorable deeds
be an example to them. Do as much good as possible while causing
the least amount of harm.
Duty. Be responsible for your actions and their consequences,
protect those entrusted to your care, and obey those who have
just authority over you.
*The Oathbow gains this feature: You can use the Devotion
Paladin's Channel Divinity once per day. This feature recharges
at dawn if you have not broken your Oath.*
Oath of the Ancients:
Kindle the Light. Through your acts of mercy, kindness and
forgiveness, kindle the light of hope in the world, beating back
despair.
Shelter the Light. Where there is good, beauty, love, and
laughter in the world, stand against the wickedness that would
swallow it. Where life flourishes, stand against the forces that
would render it barren.
Preserve Your Own Light. Delight in the song and laughter, in
beauty and art. If you allow the light to die in your own heart,
you can't preserve it in the world.
Be the Light. Be a glorious beacon for all who live in despair.
Let the light of your joy and courage shine forth in all your
deeds.
*You can use the Ancients Paladin Channel Divinity once per day.
This feature recharges at dawn if you have not broken your
Oath.*
Oath of Vengeance:
Fight the Greater Evil. Faced with a choice of fighting my sworn
foes or combating a lesser evil, I choose the greater evil.
No Mercy for the Wicked. Ordinary foes might win my mercy, but
my sworn enemies do not.
By Any Means Necessary. My qualms can't get in the way of
exterminating my foes.
Restitution. If my foes wreak ruin on the world, it is because I
failed to stop them. I must help those harmed by their mideeds.
*You gain the Abjure Enemy Channel Divinity Feature and can cast
it once per day. This feature recharges at dawn if you have not
broken your Oath.*
Oath of the Crown:
Law. The law is paramount. It is the mortar that holds the
stones of civilization together, and it must be respected.
Loyalty. Your word is your bond. Without Loyalty, oath and laws
are meaningless.
Courage. You must be willing to do what needs to be done for the
sake of order, even in the face of overwhelming odds. If you
don't act, then who will?
Responsibility. You must deal with the consequences of your
actions, and you are responsible for fulfilling your duties and
obligations.
*You gain the Crown's Channel Divinity Feature and use it once
per day. Recharges at dawn if you have not broken your Oath.*
