The raven hops over to Olly. It squawks again, "I can see many
things from way up high, and like this I am too small for most
predators, including the great griffin, roosting on the northern
cliff-edge." The raven stretches its wings, as if it were a bit
stiff and squawks "It's nice to see that other people care about
the animals in this region."

"Yes we intend to liberate the creatures of this land from
tyranny. Ravens are capable of vocalizing in common, what name
shall I call yew good bird? If you join us on our journey, yew
bird will have your fill of meats and shinies-which some
ostentatious Ravens are known to collect." Olly squawks and caws
at the Raven

Passing around his pipe, Popo hesitantly asks, Uh, what's up
with the little dude over there man?" He asks Clunk and Viri
about Olly, who is squaking with a raven. He turns to Olly, "Hey
little dude, I'm totally into getting in tune with your inner
wild animal and all that, but like, we don't really want ravens
all over the place here crowding our chill."

Olly becomes nervous he might have revealed too much to the
Raven and determines any nefarious or otherwise suspect nature
of the bird Insight: 1d20 14 + 4 (exp) + 2 wis = 20. In regards
to popo Olly switches back to Common and says "Do you question
the usefulness of an intelligent bird? This noble creature just
gave us the location of the griffin, and will act as constant
alarm system"

Viri inhales deeply from the pipe, holds it in for a bit, the
exhales smoke through his nostrils. He then passes the pipe on
the left hand side.
Seeing the meatcrumb trail that Olly has left, Viri narrows his
eyes and says, "Foolish boy, don't lead wild animals to our
camp!" Listening to Olly's explanation, Viri raises his eyebrows
and rubs his chin. "Speaking to animals, eh?" Viri chuckles to
himself and shakes his head. "I suppose it should be expected,
from an owl boy. Well, reward our clever raven friend for the
information, but then clean up that meat trail!"

"Oh! Far out! I just didn't want any more beach critters bumming
my hog off us." Seemingly not fully understanding the mechanics
of the Speak to Animals spell, Popo flaps his arms and caws what
he wishes meant, "Radical, feathered friend."

The raven looks first at Olly, then Viri and then at Popo. To
Olly, it seems to be a perfectly normal raven, although as you
are extremely familiar with birds in particular, there is
something that seems off...
Then suddenly the raven speaks, in common, rather indignantly
"and here I thought you were more in-tune with nature "dude".
Judging by the smell you are making good use of what the land
has to offer." You somehow sense gratitude as well as some
reproach.
You all notice the wind die down and the waves which were
leisurely crashing into the shore stop completely. Only the
smoke rising out of the pipe moves. The light coming from your
torches appears to dim and the figure of the raven becomes even
more obscured. Suddenly the bird begins to increase in size, the
morph its shape. From the black feathers forms a robe, dark and
with a hood. The bony feet take on the form of thin leather
walking shoes and the wing span transforms into the broad
shoulders and arms of a man, holding a cane. Lastly the beak
retracts taking the form of a necklace with a bird's head, among
other animals and a man's head with a graying beard becomes more
clearly visible. The man is no taller than 170 cm, with a
wrinkled face from too much laughter and possibly frowning.
He speaks in a rather deep voice, "Young man, I am neither a
raven nor can I be lured in by shiny baubles, however all
creatures can be lured by the smell of good food. For this you
do have my thanks. Also your accent young man is rather natural,
I am surprised."

Viri, the plant materials in the pipe are the same as found in a
deathstick, take a Constitution Saving Throw.

(Con: 13 (d20) + 1 (Con) + 4 (Prof) = 18)
Seeing the raven morph into a humanoid figure, Viri leaps to his
feet and draws his rapiers. "Identify yourself, sorcerer! How
came you here? What business do you have spying on our company?"

Seeing this happen, Popo says, "WHOA, Viri, don't take a hit of
that pipe! I think I loaded it with something gnarly this
morning..."
