Asmundr replies, "Well, we're up and on the move now, as you can
see. Things are at least relatively stable back up North, so we
took up a mission to escort our buddy Dahm to the Temple of
Corellon up river," looking at the very... bombastic seafarer,
"No, I can't say I recognize him, he doesn't look like the rest
of these Privateers..."
Asmundr addresses Viri, "You helped the Fallen Star Company
dispatch these... dire foes? Who are you, what is your business
here?"

While Rognvaldr and Geoffrey Strongmanhandle each other, Viri
concludes his business with the guards, exchanging his prisoners
for 150 gold. He then strides over to join in the conversation,
playfully hefting his new coin purse in his hand.
"Ahh, the Fallen Star Company, eh? I thought it might be you.
Where else can one find a metal man and a magical matron
fighting side-by-side? As your fellows already know, I am Dom
Viriato de Asturios, captain of Senhora Rosalie, freelance
mariner and blade for hire, at your service, sir." Viri bows and
winks at Asmundr. "Now, may I ask, what brings a group so famed
as the Fallen Star Company to our humble port town?"
Viri turns to Geoffrey and looks him over, and then asks, in
Undercommon, "Do you speak the common tongue, my hawk-eyed
friend?"

"We are a mission to the temple of Corellon, Padre Dahm Redonde
has requested our excort. We're also in need of Captain and crew
of our Carrack, perhaps you know someone?."

Geoffrey turns away from Asmundr. He looks directly into Viri's
eyes.
With a serious look on his face he responds, "you speak the
language of the Elder Folk? In some circles in my country,
speaking but one word can get your tongue removed." Geoffrey
removes a dagger from his belt, and makes a slicing motion. But
then he quickly sheathes his dagger again...
*Slight of Hand 12(d20)+4(dex)+4(prof)+4(expert) = 24*
He takes a step forward, then suddenly smiles. "But don't worry,
I'm not one of those people. How is it you learnt the speech of
the Elder Folk?"

Viri smirks at Geoffrey's display. "Careful now," he says,
resting his hand on the hilt of his rapier. "Flash your dagger
at the wrong people around here, and you're liable to lose more
than your tongue." He smiles a toothy grin (perhaps too many
teeth for a sea-captain, you note), and then removes his hand
from his blade, and says, "Fortunately for you, I've had quite
enough fighting for today. It is good to meet another Drow, I
have always quite enjoyed working with your folk... very clever
people, no? I've worked with a few over the years out of
Unterland, and it is from them that I have learned your tongue."
Viri turns then to Asmundr and says, "A captain, eh?" He gives
the Hang 'Em High a quick looking over, and the says, "And what
a lucky captain he would be to command such a fine vessel! In
this city, there are as many captains and sailors as you have
gold to pay them, but few who are actually worth what they ask.
You need look no further, however, for I believe that I am the
captain who most suits your needs. You will be hard pressed to
find another who is so adept with the blade and the bow, who can
so greatly inspire his men, or so fearsomely frighten his foes,
and who can boast of a formal military education, hardened and
tested on the open sea."

Clunk comes returns from boat carrying only his axe and a sac of
unknown goods. While walking up to the group and hearing this
stranger talk about becoming the captain of the Hang 'em High,
Clunk eyes the Stranger with his dark eyes. Clunk Touches
Asmundr on the shoulder and nods.

Geoffrey turns back to Asmundr. "Do you have an arranged place
to stay here? Or do you plan to return the Priest to his temple
and depart immediately? I don't have any arrangements at the
moment, and would love nothing more than to journey with you all
once again."

Asmundr looks coolly delighted, "I see, that makes things
interesting, maybe we'll have our Interim Commander Ellie give
you a look over then. Do you have access to a crew that could
man the Hang 'Em High?"
"Geoffrey! Of course we'll host you again! You were essential to
our journeys in the past, maybe your keen eyes and sharp shot
can help us here too!"
Dahm Padre and Pujols come onshore, Pujols is shirtless with
blood wiped from his right arm and shoulder, presumably from the
intruders on board. Pujols dips his hand in the ocean and cleans
it off as Dahm addresses everyone with a concerned look on his
face, "What a tragedy this is... the docks of Halshan Myrat were
not this... dire when I left." Pujols is obviously upset as
well, he brow is furrowed. Dahm continues, "I recommend we go
see Mr. Rooshi, he'll put us up for the night... maybe he'll
have something to say about what's going on around here."
Dahm walks past the scene, seemingly oblivious to his
surroundings, his head slung in deep concern. He continues up
the dock and up into the cavern cut into the stone spire, where
a stairs climb up the back wall. Pujols looks back at you and
motions his head for you to follow them.
Asmundr improvises, "I've never seen Dahm this disturbed,"
Asmundr returns to the Hang 'Em High and command from the bow,
"I'll follow you guys up in moment, I've got to make sure the
Hang 'Em High and the crew are all in order."
*Geoffrey notices some cloth glide down from the top of the
stone structure in front of you, and down to the left of the
docks.*
*Coady, Mr. Rooshi should be a familiar name to you, if not PST
me*

Geoffrey moves over and looks down at the piece of cloth, then
picks it up to examine it in more detail. He then looks upwards,
seeing if he can at all trace the origin, and pockets the piece
of cloth (if it seems even in the slightest important).
Without delaying too much, Geoffrey catches up with the others
ascending the stairs of the stone spire.

It looks like a azure piece of clothing quality cloth. It is
about palm sized. It looks as though it was ripped. The
stitching on the unripped end looks like it was hem of whatever
piece it belonged to.
*I used your passive investigate of I think 21? But you probably
coulda just rolled an active if you're examining anything.
Unstrained conditions here though, so apt to use passive, unless
you now want more.*
*Even I can't tell if this is important, it was the result of
some strange die roll haha, but it does weigh 0lbs*
