       Short and stocky, with muscles built from years of fishing.
       Short gray hair and a gray beard, icy blue eyes. Skin made
       leathery by the sun and sea. Hails from one of the many refugee
       camps that dot the ruined kingdom of Aglarond

       Does not know how
       to read, but is wise to the ways of survival and trade, and can
       be quite persuasive.
       Duncan is the self-proclaimed prophet of the Diem

       who he
       considers to be the highest of all gods. The Diem, he says, has
       a grand narrative for the course of the world— that is, there is
       a beginning and an end, but what happens in between is left to
       chance. Thus, Duncan has adopted the holy symbol of the twenty
       sided die. He recently acquired a huge number of these from the
       wizard Van Dyke
