Staring into the coming darkness "A blacksmith, Corin. It was a
terrible winter 100's of years ago him and his son who's name
always eludes me Cameron, na Comdor... no nevermind it doesn't
matter. Pulled me from a fight with a monsterous Yeti and saved
my ass, he was an outstanding Barbarian he controlled his rage
like none I have seen. He trained me for a couple years taught
me how to fight alone how to use your own pain and make it your
strength."
Starting to breath hard due to my exhausted state " I
Ehhhhhhhhhhhhhhrr worship no uooooooooooooooofff,
ehhhhhhhhhhhhhhhrr God."

Vaasa

On hearing "ancient wonder" Lyrina laughs hard enough to spew a
few bread crumbs.
"Hahahaha oh my. I wish I could say that I was as wise and old
and you seem to think I am" a warm smile creeps onto lyrina's
face.
"Well, seeing as we have survived together for so long, I might
as well let you all in on my little secret. *deep breath* I'm
actually only 36 years old... A wicked witch placed an aging
curse in me about a decade ago and I've been shriveled up ever
since. I never planned on adventuring. I was actually studying
to become full fledged witch."
The smile leaves and a look of melancholy takes over.
"My appearance caused my once lovely village to drive me out
into the mountains. They feared I had been cursed by vampires
and I was going to curse them all as well... But anyway, now I'm
here and I have the heart of a wyvern that may actually be able
to lift this stupid curse"

Being skeptical about Lyrina's story Asmundr replies"... right,
that sounds awful, sorry to hear that."
*Insight check to determine if Lyrina is lying: 12+5+4x2= 25*
Depending on this check, Asmundr either plays along with her
story, or advances with intrigue, "You know... actually I may be
able to help. My training to be a Vicar of the Temple of Var has
given me some talents that may help you. If you'd allow me, I'd
like to try to identify the curse that was set on you."

Becoming slightly flustered, "oh no, really, it's alright. I'be
already spoken to a great wizard about it. There's no need, but
thank you"

"BAH! Great Wizards... here, you give me 10 minutes and I'll
have your solution to this thing, the Clerics specialize in this
sort of thing.
Restoring a young woman's beauty... how could I pass up such a
righteous mission?
After we get through this mess, I will see that we clear you of
this... affliction."
Asmundr puzzles for a bit, "Would it be possible to cast an
illusion on yourself to appear as your rightful form?"

"Oh Asmundr, it is not that I doubt that you would be able to
Identify the curse, I just very much doubt that you would be
able to lift it. As for my appearance... I could probably cast
an illusion onto myself for a brief time, so long as I don't
move while it is in effect"

since I have seen my true reflection"

To Geoffrey, "Well, Geoffrey, I would like to see this wonder
of Dambrath. A surface nation of Drow, how interesting. Maybe
after our mission here we will be free to explore more of the...
more distant and foreign world." Asmundr continues after
thinking about everyone's religious perspective, "... you don't
worship Lolth... do you?"
To liryna, "There is a spell, Disguise Self, perhaps it would
assist you. As a bard I know the notes that conjure its arcane
power, I'm not really sure how you wizards do that sort of
thing. I'm sure we will be able to break your curse though,
Lyrina. It would be wrong to keep a youthful glow concealed so!"
Asmundr stands after seeing that everyone is done eating,
"Well, we should probably get into town before nightfall, let's
saddle up."

Billy brings the horses back up from the river, and Thirteen
packs away his remaining bread and cheese. He then helps Mila
back up into the wagon and mounts his own horse. Lokir beckons
you across the bridge, waving his arms.
"Hurry now, hurry! It is almost dark!"
As you cross the bridge, you note that its stonework is
exquisite. Contrary to everything you have seen thus far, this
bridge appears to have been constructed in a distant past when
this region was more civilized. On the far side of the bridge,
you see that there are pikes stuck into the frozen ground along
the river bank, with skulls impaled upon their black iron tips.
Some of them still have rotting flesh attached, and as you
approach, ravens who were pecking at them scatter into the
trees.
"Criminals, bandits, or those who tried to stand up to Raedwald.
Oh yes, our Lord has no qualms about delivering swift justice,
and letting all know of the punishment. But do not worry, you
are stronger than these poor souls." Lokir says, eyeing the
skulls warily.
Before you stretches a road, straight as an arrow, to the gate
of the stone keep, perhaps only 200 feet away. To the sides,
many small wooden shacks huddle close to one another, some with
windows lit by a flickering fire. None of these, however, is
placed anywhere near the great lord's keep.
"A grim man, this Raedwald. Shall I make ready for trouble,
sir?" Thirteen says, his hand hovering hovering by a sword at
his hip.

"No, Thirteen, I'm sure we can approach this with more
diplomatic methods... we'll need to anyways."
Asmundr dismounts at the Keep's entrance. "Lokir, I don't
suppose you know the usual practices for visitation with your
Lord, do you."
