the top of the ironfell, blasting the Ironfell Council, but not
overloading the Ironfell itself?"

*Wow, nice crit!*
Your axe comes crashing through the wall, breaking open a new
gap wide enough to be pulled apart by your mighty metal arms. As
you tear your way out of your prison, you find yourself in a
large, dim room, with boxes of various sizes scattered about,
many of them tied down to the floor. The room you escaped from
is in the center of this larger cargo space, and across from
you, you can see a ladder attached to the wall, with holes in
the floor and ceiling to lower and upper floors, respectively.
You can see what looks like sunlight coming through the hole
that leads to the upper level.
-------------------------------
Meanwhile, in Castle Perilous...
-------------------------------
Raedwald shakes his head and frowns.
"It might be, but... You have heard the tale of the man shooting
an apple off the head of his young squire, I trust? This would
in principle be the same, but instead of an apple, you would
have to hit a single pea. And missing would mean more than one
dead child. I'm sorry, but I cannot allow you to attempt such a
thing, the risks are too great."

"Lord, you sensed that our compatriot was nearby? Is there any
way we could track him down?"

Raedwald looks up and smiles, saying, "Certainly! While I cannot
divine his location myself, he cannot be far from this spot. I
would begin by looking for where those beasts that you slew
originated. Certainly they came to Castle Perilous from
somewhere. Perhaps there are tracks in the snow?"

Clunk smashes the boxes to find out what contents lie within.
After searching through the contents, Clunk takes what he thinks
is valuable and climbs the ladder towards the light.

"Oh yes, perfect, we have tracked these beings before. Geoffrey,
keep watch of the spire for us, make sure Elvira doesn't trip
over anything. Raedwald, let us find my beefy friend!" I begin
looking around the tower for the same tracks as before,
particularly heading to/fro the location Raedwald divines.

"Snake Eater, I'm truly honored to have been contacted by such
an elite organization. I had heard of the Harpers, but Space
Harpers, even I am surprised!
The situation in Dambrath is concerning, but perhaps you are
misinformed, like you have been with Castle Perilous - I could
say that, despite I have been gone for a while, it makes little
sense to me."
Geoffrey takes a deep breath - "We've almost managed your task.
I'm also humbled by you and the Space Harpers trusting me and my
party with such an important mission. You and your organization
are truly bold to place the fate of the whole world in the hands
of such unproven adventurers'. I'll report to you again when our
task is finished."
----
Geoffrey overhears the conversation about Clunk, and then heads
over to Elvira to inform her about the situation.

*Clunk finds three tent canisters, some large barrels of water,
and many bits and pieces of devices he does not understand*
The ladder take longer to reach its destination than you would
have thought. You climb through a dark tunnel, barely large
enough for you to fit through, for about ten feet, before
reaching the surface.
On this second level, you find something incredibly intriguing:
living plants. You find yourself in a large circular room, about
70 or 80 feet in diameter, with a floor of soil and clover and
other small ground cover plants. In the center is a large, thick
tree with many branches, unlike any tree you've ever seen— the
bark is sleek and white, and the leaves are marbled a deep
burgundy and green, with a silver sheen. Around the base of this
tree are growing various fruit bushes and vining crops, none of
which appear familiar to you. The entire room is bathed in
golden light from globes hovering near the ceiling, about twenty
feet above you. Around the room are several other ladders which
continue upwards.
--------------
Meanwhile, outside the castle...
--------------
On the northeastern side of the castle you find many tracks
heading off to the northeast. Though it has been snowing since
the tracks were made, they are still well formed enough for you
and Raedwald to follow. You follow them towards a precipice,
where the land suddenly drops off into a sheer and rocky cliff,
leading down to the frozen planes at the foot of the Great
Glacier. The tracks stop at the edge of this cliff.
"Curious," Raedwald says, scratching his head and peering over
the edge. "This area bears no scars of teleportation, so they
must have come here without displacement magic... But did they
climb? And if so, how did they get their supplies up? Some of
those crates we saw were quite large." Raedwald looks around,
scanning for any other signs of the creatures. "The residual
magical effects I sensed indicate to me that your friend cannot
be much farther away than this." He smirks then, and asks, "How
proficient are your skinny arms at climbing, boy?"
-------------
Meanwhile, back in Castle Perilous....
-------------
At the mention of Space Harpers, you hear Snake Eater laugh. "We
have been called a lot of things, agent, but that's a new one. I
understand that news of your home country might be shocking, but
I assure you, our intelligence is accurate. Feel free to check
it yourself, if you make it out of Vaasa. And don't get cocky,
agent. While we are certainly hoping your group will perform
satisfactorily, we are prepared for an outcome in which you
fail. It would, however, be very... inconvenient. I have faith
in you, though. You've... come highly recommended. I await
further communication. Snake Eater out."
