Thorax the Impaler, Exarch of Grummush (Deceased)
By: Okakouta Date: May 12, 2014, 3:58 pm
       ---------------------------------------------------------
Thorax the Impaler acts as a commander of the orc forces of Thar

       and one of its leaders,
"elected" purely due to his immense strength and alleged
recognition by the orc God Grummush.
Despite being one-eyed Thorax has absolute confidence in his
skills - in fact, having one eye brings him closer to his deity,
whom Thorax represents by slaying all who would oppose them as
       an Exarch.
The message that Thorax the Impaler was responsible for leading
the orcs in the take over of the Monastery of the Yellow Rose

/>and personally defeating Dik, the master of the Monastery, has
spread throughout the region of Grand Halen

       and Damara
  HTML http://dndgurnee.createaforum.com/damara/,
       leading to concerns
       of invasions.
After rallying his forces at the Monastery, Thorax led them on a
       march through Damara, nearly destroying

/>the capital, Helgabal, in their wake.
Thorax was next seen just outside of Calaunt, Grand Halen's
largest city, barely alive. His right arm had been severed above
the elbow, and it was obvious that the wound had not received
proper treatment, and that he had not eaten in quite some time.
He was taken prisoner and transferred to the dungeons of
Bardertown. He claimed that he had resurrected the orcs' fallen
god, Bane, but that instead of leading them to a new age of
prosperity, Bane corrupted Thorax's warband, turning them into
hideous demonic creatures. When Thorax attempted to stop this,
Bane destroyed his arm, and sent him fleeing for his life.
The party, seeing a common enemy in Bane and the demonic orc
horde, released Thorax from his prison during the undead attack
on Bardertown. He followed the party to Dragon Falls, and then
through the Earthspur mountains, before finally turning towards
the Monastery of the Yellow Rose and his people. He bid the
party farewell, and thanked them for their assistance.
During the Battle of Bloodstone, Thorax and his orc warriors
came riding from the south upon the backs of great boars, and
charged into the Fel Horde's flank. Thorax then fought his way
to the Cormyrn forces, allowing them to escape encirclement. The
combined forces of Cormyr and Thar then split the Fel Horde in
two, before making a combined charge on Bane and his demonic
orcs. Though Bane was forced to flee, and though many demonic
orcs were slain, Thorax fell in the fighting.
