       Selkies

       Selkies

       Selkies are peoples found in the tribes of Chhattisgarh, the
       continent south of Faerun. Selkie origins date back tens of
       thousands of years, to groups of Halflings and Wood-elves which
       had had extensive interbreeding in regions of resource scarcity.
       The Deserts on the Chhattisgarh Continent was the boiling pot
       for these two peoples. It took their combined efforts and skills
       to survive these harsh conditions, and populations of both
       species fell so dangerously low that interbreeding was in many
       cases the only option. The Selkies combine some of the best
       features of both races, making a group that is hardy, vital, and
       highly adaptable. Although the Selkies are very disconnected
       with their ancient fey origins, they still share Elven vitality
       and graceful dexterity.

       Ability Score Increase. Your Dexterity score increases by 2.
       Age. A Selkie generally reaches adulthood by the age of 25 and
       lives into their 2nd century.
       Alignment. Selkies are isolantionsts and loners by nature. After
       generations of living as nomads, doing anything they can to
       survive, they have learned to trust their own intuition. They
       are Chaotic Good, or Chaotic Neutral, with some ranging into
       pure Neutral, Chaotic Evil, and Neutral Good.
       Size. Selkies average about 5 feet, usually ranging between 4.5
       and 5.5 feet tall. They are light and nimble, usually lighter
       than Humans or Clavats of the same height. 90 to 150 lbs is very
       common. Your size class is Medium.
       Speed. Your Wood-elf heritage gives you 35 feet of base walking
       speed.
       Selkie Nimbleness  You can move through the space of a creature
       of one size larger than you.
       Mask of the Wild. You can attempt to hide even when only lightly
       obscured by foliage, rain, snow, or other natural phenomena.
       Languages. You can speak, read, and write Common and Selkie
       (written in the Elvish Script). Selkies have a strong oral
       tradition and write very little, literacy is somewhat rare,
       especially in the more isolated tribes.
       Sub-races. Two main sub-races exist, choose one.
       Feral Selkie
       Ability Score Improvement. +1 to Wisdom
       Keen Sense. Choose smell, sight, or hearing, you count as being
       proficient in Wisdom (Perception) when using that sense, in
       addition you may use twice your proficiency bonus in those
       checks.
       Tribal Selkie
       Ability Score Improvement. +1 to Charisma.
       Misdirection. You gain proficiency in Sleight of Hand. Whenever
       you make a Charisma check, you can make a Sleight of Hand check
       with advantage as a free action  to steal from a sentient
       creature.
