       The Massacre at Highrock

       Following Lurtz's death from injuries sustained during
       Rognvaldr's assassination attempt, his bones were returned to
       Calimshan, to be fed to the buzzards of Highrock, in accordance
       with half-orc tradition. Because of his prominence as a half-orc
       peacemaker, many of the strongest supporters of the Calimshan
       Union, as well as most of the prominent half-orc chieftains,
       were present at this event to pay their respects.
       However, as the mourners were climbing the switchbacks to the
       top of the Highrock plateau, they came under attack by
       separatist forces. Archers, who were hidden at the top of the
       plateau, rained death on the unarmed procession, while cavalry
       swept away any of those who tried to flee.
       Nearly all those present were killed, and their bodies were
       dismembered and burned. This sparked a massive outcry from the
       half-orc population and the supporters of the Union, and began a
       new era of civil war in the already bloodstained nation.
