The only trail you see is the one you followed to get into this
place, which you remember leads back out of the tree into the
tall grass.

Asmundr takes that trail and looks around for his companions.

As you emerge again into the sunlit tallgrass, you immediately
notice something very odd— where before you could hear only the
sounds of birds and rustling leaves, you can now hear the din of
a bustling city

Asmundr looks out and tries to observe the city, who are the
inhabitants, what race are they? What is their garb? What style
of buildings are there?

It is the same city as you were in before, only everything is
slightly different: the buildings are larger, and not overgrown.
Some are beautifully painted or decorated with frescos of
battles or other events. The spires are immensely tall, and
sometimes twist or curl near the top. Everywhere you see the
colorful tents of street merchants peddling their wares—
beautiful statuettes of gold and ivory that seem to move on
their own. Massive elephants with many tusks roam the streets,
some with elaborate palanquins on their backs.
The residents are Lilties, garbed in colorful and decorated
baggy pants, robes, and cloth wraps. Some of them have elaborate
designs painted on their faces in white mud. Others are fully
equipped with elaborate metal armor, shining brilliantly in the
afternoon sun.

Meanwhile, Elvira and Geoffrey see Asmundr slump to the ground,
apparently in the same deep slumber that the monks are in.
