"Chums up, sports! What Ho!" Asmundr exclaims as he steps into
the void.

Curious, and trusting Asmundr just enough, Geoffrey follows him
into the tree.

Descending into the tunnel, you notice immediately that the air
inside is cool and incredibly still. You can no longer hear the
rustling of the leaves and grass, or feel the breeze that was
causing it for that matter. Above you, fibrous roots dangle
lazily, though you don't see any spiders or other insects making
homes there.
You continue along the tunnel for some ways before coming upon a
low, round hollow. It's right beneath the center of the trunk,
you'd guess, judging how far in you've gone. In the center of
the hollow is a shallow pool of clear water with a sandy bottom.
The surface of the water quavers ever so slightly, and little
grains of sand dance about in the center of the pool, leading
you to believe there is a spring hear. Around the pool, the
entire rest of the ground is covered in thick mats of green
moss, with wispy little mushrooms sprouting up here and there.
It is from these mushrooms that the blueish glow you noticed
earlier is emanating.
Seated around the pool are two figures: one is a young man who
wears the robes of a monk of the Porcelain tower. His eyes are
closed, and he seems to be in some deep meditation. The other
you took at first to be a skeleton, but upon closer inspection
is in fact a living man, little more than skin and long,
bedraggled hair stretched over bones. He, too, wears monk's
robes, though they are dirtier than those of the young man. He
is also seemingly meditating. On another side of the pool, you
now notice a pile of bones and decaying cloth sunken into the
moss, with mushrooms growing out of it.
Next to each man, and beside the pile of bones as well, is a
small, wooden cup.
You feel compelled to drink from the pool.

Asmundr looks at Geoffrey with a look of awe, and telepathically
communicates to him, "What do you make of this Geoffrey? I'm not
sure we should disturb these men, it looks like they have taken
claim here for... quite awhile."
*Is my Detect thoughts still working? If so I attempt to read
the thoughts of the monks in front of me, starting with the one
that is seemingly deceased.

The ancient man seems to be dreaming: His mind is full of images
of two young Shou men, one in the armor of a warrior, and the
other in the finery of a noble, hunting massive dear with many
antlers in a beautiful jade forest.
The young man is also dreaming, though his head contains only
the simple scene of a peasant women, kneeling next to a cook
fire and humming a lullaby to a cooing infant in her arms.

Do they seem to be aware of our presence?

Does Asmundr know much about this Monastery or their practices,
and why these men might be here meditating, seemingly for the
remainder of their lives?

You know that the monks of the Porcelain Monastery are
fascinated with the concept of the dream realm. They believe
that through concentrated meditation, it is possible to freely
traverse this realm for brief periods, and so they devote their
lives to this pursuit in order to gain insight into human nature
and existence.
You also remember that the Master Monk of the Porcelain
Monastery said that he discovered Rognvaldr's soul had somehow
passed to this realm.

Asmundr attempts to great the youngest monk with a telepathic
hail, not much more than a "ping." What happens with his mind
when I do this?
