You strain to see the horizon, but in most directions all you
can see is the tops of trees and buildings further out in the
city. However, to what you think is the west, you can see a
mountain range stretching to the north, and ending abruptly to
the south.
Looking at how high the sun is in the sky, you're a little
alarmed to realize just how far south you've traveled in an
instant. Taking out your map, you see that, indeed, Ragh
Chattari is at a significantly lower latitude than the Monastery
of the Yellow Rose. You also see that there is a mountain range
that runs North-South to the West of the city, and ends in the
Shining Sea.

Geoffrey moves over to the other two with the map out.
"I would guess we're somewhere in this region, if I'm
recognizing these landmarks correctly" he says while moving his
finger along the map, then pointing towards the mountains and in
the direction of the coast.
"Assuming we've really been this lucky so far and arrived almost
exactly where we had hoped, what's the next step?" Geoffrey
glances at their faces one-by-one, looking for an answer."

In Asmundr's rest, his mind centered itself on Dal Quor: the
land of dreams, resting spirits, and the subconscious. In his
meditation, he spends 6 hit dice (all of them) to regain one 2nd
level and four 1st level spells. He also regains 1/4 of his hit
dice (1).
A newly invigorated and focused Asmundr replies to Geoffrey,
"You are the keenest of us when it comes to such matters, I
trust your word on what we see around us..." Asmundr holds a
dramatic pause, shifting his glacial-blue eyes from Geoffrey to
Lyrina. With a soothing telepathic baritone murmur, as if a warm
tropical ocean wave is gently pushing past your corporeality and
washing back into your minds Asmundr poses, "but what of what we
cannot see?"
Asmundr raises up his Sitar and strums a bellowing chord charged
with psychic energy, he swiftly scans the area for cerebral
shadows reflecting his psychic tone.
*Perception check? (We can roll on the rolld20 adventure chat
now, which is what I'm doing)
D20:11 + Wis:4 + Prof(1d6):1=16
I also have Detect Thoughts, which is actually probably the most
correct way to do this, but I was trying to do a less...
intensive scan, just like the psychic version of listening
carefully, a psychic ping. If you want, just tell me to use up a
spell slot though, I am prepared to do so (it would give a good
opportunity to read Lyrina's and Geoffrey's thoughts anyways).

*While the psychic-sitar-echolocation is cool, I'd rather not
set a precedent for its use all the time. So I'd rather you
detect thoughts.*
As you open your mind to the thoughts of those around you, you
are suddenly overwhelmed by a flood of psychic energy, though it
does not feel like an attack. It seems to you that this entire
area is occupied by some great consciousness, and it is
communicating to you a singular feeling: "Come to me". It seems
to you to be emanating from the direction of the giant tree.

Using his bellowing psychic tones, Asmundr senses the thoughts
of a sentient force. He attempts to go further into it's
consciousness to establish it's reasoning, emotional state, and
motivation. Does this sentient being wish harm upon us, is it
trying to lure us into danger?

Despite your efforts, you cannot seem to locate the
consciousness of this being: it is as if there are many minds
acting as one, and try as you might, you are too overwhelmed by
the multitude of voices to hone in on one. You can, however,
tell that the general affect of this mind is benevolent, or at
least indifferent.

Geoffrey steps forward next to Asmundr. "The elves have a
special connection to all things ancient, perhaps I can discern
more about its state"
Cultural Lore?d20+int mod + proficiency? = 16
Perception? d20+wis mod + proficiency = 16
*Not sure which one to use here*

*Sorry, could you clarify a bit more what you're trying to do
here? Asmundr is the only one who can really feel any details
about this consciousness, because of his psychic abilities. The
rest of you only feel a sense of calm and familiarity when you
look in the direction of the giant tree*

Oh, elves have an innate relationship with nature, or so I've
been told :P so I figured since the tree is probably natural,
perhaps I can gain some information about it.

It's unlike any variety of tree you've ever seen, though you've
heard tell of trees of this size in other Lilty ruins. From the
way it's trunk is shaped, you'd guess that it is, in fact,
multiple trees grown together.
