As you are speaking, a palace buard enters through the door
behind you, and walks quickly up to Commander Shepard.
"Sir," he says, saluting, "A rider from Damara has come, and
requests an urgent meeting. He is waiting in the main hall."
"Thank you, Anders, tell him I will meet with him immediately."
Anders salutes, turns and strides out of the library. Shepard
massages his eyes with his fingers, and then says, "It seems I
have some business to attend to. Let me know what you decide is
the best course of action, and I'll make the necessary
arrangements." He nods to all of you in turn, and then walks
wearily out to the main hall.

"Wait, sir, this Damaran Dagger, we found it on our travels,
perhaps this rider might have an interest in it. The man
wielding it was slain before we found him in Gulthandor. I no
not which house it belongs to, perhaps you do."

Shepard turns back, and gingerly lifts the dagger from your
hands. He runs the edge along his thumbnail, inspects the
pommel, and then says, "This is a fine blade. These sorts of
knives are often given as gifts to the children of prominent
clans for preforming deeds deemed heroic." He frowns, and then
says, "You should present this to the Damaran yourself. Damarans
tend to prefer a personal approach in such matters. I will
direct you to him when you are done here."

"Certainly, that sounds fair." Asmundr turns to Jimbo, "How much
time would the Yellow Rose excursion shave off in your
estimates? Would we be able to return to the yellow rose through
the same portal we travel through?"

Jimbo scratches at his chin, "Takes about a week to get to the
Yellow Rose from here, less if you can figure a way through the
mountains. Assumin' you don't have scibby with the orcs, you
should be able to get to that portal the day you get there.
Coming back though..."
"We don't know if you'll be able to get back through the
portal." Scarfunkel says, leaning forward on the table. "We know
nothing about the structure of the portal gate in Rab Shittree—"
"Ragh Chattari," Arnulf corrects, again.
"Right." Scarfunkel waves his hand in Arnulf's direction.
"Portals were very finicky things before the Spell Plague. Who
knows what they are like now."

"I understand that the journey to the Yellow rose will be
dangerous indeed, but I think that we need to save as much time
as possible. Unless we can accomplish some vital secondary
missions along the trekking route, I don't see any option
besides an infiltration of the Rose." Asmundr turns to his
companions, "Unless there are any protests, I think Jimbo and
Skarfunkel could start preparing our briefing for the Yellow
Rose."

Scarfunkel looks up at the group expectantly for a few moments,
eyebrows raised, waiting for any sort of objection. Hearing
none, he says, "Very well, we will begin writing up a plan.
We'll let you know when we've completed it. In the meantime, you
might want to head to the Adventure's End. There was a gaggle of
girls looking for you a couple of weeks ago, Asmundr, and Mary
could probably tell you which way they went."

"A gaggle? That geese herder isn't peddling his flock again is
he?"

Scarfunkel, without looking up from the books he is again poring
over, says "I know no goose-herd. No, these were girls, not
geese. Something about their father." He waves his hand at you,
as if shooing you.

"Oh my... well," Asmundr continues hesitantly, "well, if we
don't have any further matters to attend to, I think... I
will... be going." Asmundr begins leaving the Palace.
