"Mary, you really think those rural girls fancy me? That's
intriguing..." Asmundr observes the girls to determine their
age, height, intellegence, attractiveness, physical prowess,
       mental fortitude, and fertility.

"As for you swarthy adventurers, I'll be stationed at the palace
for most of this week..." Asmundr mutters under his breath, "how
dreary...... " He pauses in contemplation for a second and then
ponders aloud, "I'm curious as to what the crown has to assign
you at a time like this."
After pocketing his earning, Asmundr continues by saying, "What
are you dames and gents up to now, would you care to find out
what ol' Rognvaldr Grand King of Halen and the Vesper Valley,
has to assign you? I was just fixing to head over there to speak
with my recruitment officer, I would be delighted if you would
       allow me to accompany you."

They look to be in their late teens— Fia looks a little older
than Gia. Since they're sitting down, you can't really tell how
tall they are, though you think they were of a modest height
when they came in earlier. They're shepherds that live outside
the city, so they're probably not educated, but as for their
intelligence you can't really tell. They're rather attractive:
Fia is probably an 8 or a 9, while Gia is at least a 7. They're
both pretty muscled, from what you can tell, though Gia has
broader shoulders. They're mental fortitude is definitely
impaired at the moment from a few pints of beer. Based on their
age and appearance of health, you'd guess they're probably
       pretty fertile.

Gazing over to Fia and Gia, Asmundr begins to have a perplexed
look on his face, his brow furrows a bit but then the corners of
his mouth start to rise into a subtle smirk. "Mary, tonight was
truly a pleasure, it doesn't seem right to have all this fun and
then get paid for it, as if it were a chore. How about you cover
the sisters' tab with my night's pay, and offer them another
       round too."

Mary smiles in understanding, and says, "Very gallant of you,
young man. I'll be sure to let 'em know who's the one been
paying for it." She pockets the coin and walks over to the bar
       to fill some drinks.

"Very well then, if you are all done with your business here,
may I suggest we head out together and see what the crown has in
store?" Asmundr begins readying himself to leave the bar,
collecting belonging, packing up, and taking one last
inquisitive look over towards the sisters.

Lyrina snaps out of her daze and finally says," Oh.... yes, we
       are with this Blaster fellow."
She slowly stands her self up, getting ready to leave.

As you look over to the sisters' table, you see Mary setting two
mugs down on their table, and saying something to them quietly.
They look at you, a little taken aback, blush, look to each
other, and then look back to you. Gia giggles and waves, and Fia
       blows you a kiss.

(*Let's assume I have like 16 geese, about 2 clutches worth with
some room for predation) Hoss flags down Mary and starts to
haggle. "Now Mary, these geese are something special. They
weren't raised on any farm, and have been in the wild their
entire lives. As you can plainly see, they are also quite plump.
I'll tell you my thinking. Normally, I'd like 12 copper each due
to their quality. However, they are getting on my nerves, and
they are quite strong-willed. So I'll give you the lot for 150
copper." (Persuasion, 14 +3(Cha) +4 (proficiency and expertise

"This isn't a charity, boy." Mary says, a little annoyed that
she's still buying these geese. "Wild raised goose is quite a
thing, so I'll give you 120 for the lot, but don't push your
       luck."

       ---------------------------------------------------------
*To speed things along, I'm just going to assume most of you are
just following Asmundr to the palace*
Leaving the Inn, you walk back up the lane towards the main
plaza and the palace. The sun has completely set now, and the
rain is coming down in earnest. In spite of this, all the buards
you saw on the palace steps and ramparts are still standing at
attention. Recognizing your letter from Shepard, they allow you
into the palace. The main hall has been cleared out from the
day's events, and the only people still standing in it are
palace buards, along with some servants and stewards shuffling
       about.
Climbing the tower stairs to the second level, Asmundr leads you
down a walkway which overlooks the main hall, and to a door
directly above the throne. He knocks, and a voice from within
       returns, "Enter."
Shepard's quarters are modest in size and decor— he has a few
trophies from previous battles, and flags of the Skywash and
Grand Halen adorning the walls. You find him seated at a table
towards the front of the room. In his hands are a tattered three
corner hat and a leather bound book, titled "The Giant Book of
Shipbuilding". As you enter he stands, places them on a shelf
against the wall, and returns to his desk, rubbing his eyes. He
waves his hand at the other chairs around the table.
       "Please," he says, "be seated."
Shepard is quiet for a moment, rubbing his head in his hands.
Then, he begins quietly, "As you saw earlier, there is quite a
bit that needs doing around here."
He looks up at you, clasping his hands together and resting them
on the table. "I would prefer to send some of the more
experienced adventuring parties to take care of some of these,
but Chrysyres would rather see them in the city guarding against
further attempts on Rognvaldr's life. Since you are still
relatively unknown, however, you are free to come and go as you
please. I would assign you a mission, but all of the issues we
face are of equal importance, and I have no sense of your skills
or specialties. That was Rognvaldr's area of expertise. So, I
leave it up to you to assign yourself to the mission you believe
your group to be best suited to." He pauses, and then moves to a
world map tapestry hanging on a nearby wall. Pointing to the
relevant areas, he begins to list the duties that need seeing
       to.
"As you heard, House Witburn believes they have located an heir
to the throne of Impiltur. While it's unlikely that this claim
is real, I would like it investigated nonetheless. If the claim
turns out to be true, it would be well for them to be indebted
       to Grand Halen."
"The Turmish, meanwhile, have asked for military assistance in
their campaign into Akanul. We cannot provide the troops they
requested, but I would like some of our own to observe the
situation there to ensure that it does not get out of hand."
"We have pledged quite a bit of food to Narfell, and I want to
ensure that it gets there unmolested. Their reports of demons in
the Dunwood are also disturbing, and if you could find a way to
nip that problem in the bud, Grand Halen would be most grateful.
The last thing we need is demons on top of the undead from
       Thay."
"Cormyr is on the brink of going to war with Denerim over their
missing Prince, and I would prefer if they didn't. If you could
return to Cormyr with their envoy and assist in finding this
prince, we might be able to avoid a major incident."
"Then there's the matter of the Orcs making incursions into
Damara. According to the men who were here earlier, it hasn't
been anything major yet, but I don't want to be surprised by
another Yellow Rose situation, so I need someone to check it
       out."
"Again, I leave it to you to decide which of these you would be
best suited for. I may be able to get other groups to take care
of the rest, but I wouldn't count on it... I called some in from
Calimshan, but rumor has it that their ships were sunk by a
Kraken in the Shining Sea, which is itself disturbing." He lets
out a long sigh, and leans back in his chair.
       "So, what will it be?"
