The Legend of Suzail

Any child will have heard the tale of Suzail. Many of these
children may wish he would return to overthrow all oppressors.
Yet many adults question whether he could have been real.
The Western bank of the Sea of Fallen Stars, reaching from the
Dragon Coast, to the Well of Dragons and The Forest of Wyrms, as
the names suggest, were ruled by fearsome dragons. Of all shapes
and sizes they greedily coveted their lands and treasures. But
one day their greed became too much.
The details of who Suzail was before he appeared in Cormyr

are no
more than guesses. He allegedly originated from far eastern
lands, due to his red fox companion whom can today be found in
the Great Wild Woods of Murghom.
Suzail appeared one day in Western Cormyr, wearing shining
silver armor. The armor was decorated with golden laurels in
addition to engraved wings on the back. He carried a kite shield
and a greatsword in one hand - both appeared worn, yet did not
weigh him down in the slightest. Lastly, around his neck hung an
armored gauntlet, the symbol of Torm, the God of Battle.
His sword crackled with lightning, and he strode through fire,
never needing an ally. Slaying the most noble creatures, all who
saw him surely believed he to be the nobler.
Where the Capitol of Cormyr now stands, Suzail, is where the man
fought The First Purple Dragon. Unfazed by the First Purple
Dragon's terrifying size and might, in but one strike Suzail
slew such a being of power, the Gods themselves could not
believe it. A single man had brought the Dragon Age to a close.
After this battle all accounts of Suzail stop. Some belive he
ascended to Godhood, a Lesser God of Torm and Bahamut
simultaneously, and others believe his ventured further west to
the Well of Dragons.
In his honor, Cormyr considers Suzail their founder, and the
first Purple Dragon Knight. A festival is held every year in the
summertime to celebrate the coming of Suzail.
In Cormyr for someone to compare you to Suzail is the highest
possible compliment.
