Lyrina mutters "sorry" and stares down the cloaked figure

Geoffrey chuckles at Blaster, and remembers that he should hold
his drink instead of leaving it on the table, and gives an
apologetic look at the Tavern staff.
I roll spot on the cloaked figure, to see if I can discern
anything, despite the cloak (hands, skin color, body type,
graceful/bumbling etc)
CRIT! For a total of 24 :D

You take advantage of the fact that the figure has to pass by
the cooking fire to get to you, and by its light manage to catch
a glimpse of the face under the hood: human, with well groomed
facial hair and delicate features. You notice that his hands are
trembling slightly, and there's a waver in his step. On his hand
you catch the glint of a signet ring, though it's too quickly
obscured by his flowing cloak for you to make out the sigil.
He passes behind Blaster and slides an envelope onto the table,
and continues towards the bar.

Geoffrey makes sure to grab the envelop before Blaster does
anything that could make this man's attempt at discretion vain,
and slips it into the pocket of his cloak.
Leaning in towards his companions Geoffrey whispers "Keep an eye
on him and make sure he doesn't leave... I'll be back in a
moment" and gets up, moving towards the WC with the intention of
reading the letter there.

Lyrina shifts in her seat to get a better look at the mysterious
figure.
I roll a spot check to see if I can tell anything about the
person's background, like his cloak, any visible features, his
demeanor, etc.
(if spot is wisdom then i rolled 9 + 1 (wis) = 10)

With his back turned to you, fully enveloped in the cloak, you
can't tell anything about him. (Actually, Lyrina, you don't even
know that this is a man, since only Geoffrey noticed the details
described before)
The cloaked figure stands at the bar and motions for Mary to
grab him something to drink. Mary, eying him uneasily, pours
some beer from a large keg into a wooden mug.

Darmen Cansiego is actually in the bathroom as well. The
bathroom has more of an "otherwordly" rather than foul odor
because of this.

Blaster, wondering why someone would slip him a letter (unless
it had descriptive drawings on it), does not mind that his
literate friend took the letter. Blaster attunes his senses to
the cloaked figure, but continues drinking his 4-pint of skibby.

Making sure to take the other WC (maybe it's upstairs?),
Geoffrey locks the door (provided it's available) and takes out
the letter.
Slightly suspicious, he examines it with his brown leather
gloves on, feeling if objects might be concealed inside.
*Does the envelop have any writing on the front or a seal on the
back?*

Repelled by the horrible stench of the downstairs WC, you head
upstairs to the WC near your room. Latching the door behind you,
you pull out the envelope. The envelope is completely plain on
its front. There appears to be nothing of an appreciable
different structure than paper in the envelope. As you turn the
envelope over, you notice the seal of Rognvaldr stamped onto the
opening.
The figure finishes drinking the beer, puts a few coins on the
bar, and then turns and begins to move towards the door to the
street outside.
