This is what RodeoFX has done on “Now you see me” for the MGM
grand scene. The company based in Montreal was supposed to fill
all the environment of the MGM with an animated crowd. In that
case, the use of sprites was possible, because people were
staying in place. Everything was about how to design a tool to
make it easy to control the position, inclination, number and
type of sprites.
In this video, RodeoFX explains us how they manage to do
everything in Nuke. It’s really good to see how they designed
their tool to be able to control all the parameters very easily.
It seems very simple at the end, which means that the tool is
perfect.
And it’s a lot of fun to see Ara playing the actor ;)
