Taking an image out of a background!

hello there everyone!!! im new to this website and new to
photoshop as well!!!11! i was wondering can u teach me how to
remove the background of this photo and just leave the rabbit
there?? thank u so much! :) :) :)

Hey there photoshopnoob123, there are many ways you can take
extract this image out from its background. The easiest way to
do this would be to use the Magnetic Lasso Tool. This is located
directly under the Move Tool. Start off by clicking once on the
edge of the rabbit, then draw a path around the whole rabbit. As
you draw your path, you will notice that it will place "points"
which are represented as squares, this is normal. Once you
finally get back to the first square, click on it to make a
selection, then simply press Ctrl + J to copy everything in that
selection to a new layer. You will notice that a new layer will
be created in the Layers Palette. You can now hide the original
layer and see that you only have your rabbit on the screen - no
background. Hope this helps you.
