Desecravity Competitions
I feel we are at a level to start including guild competitions
for many reasons; first being this is something that I have yet
to hear that any other guild is doing, so this will be a first
of its kind in dotd, second is to maintain the already
spectacular morale that exist within our guild, third, its an
opportunity for members of all levels to participate in events
that will be even across the board so high levels will not
dominate lower levels and visa versa, and last but not least, an
opportunity to win itunes/Google Play gift cards to spend on PC
(or other phone stuff, I cant tell you what to spend it on, just
the opportunity for PC is there)
Rules:
You must reply to the current events post in this forum (no
private msgs, I will not accept "I told you on LINE"), it must
clearly be stated that you are participating in the current
months competition. Also just because you participated in the
previous months competition does not automatically count as a
rollover to the next month. YOU MUST REGISTER PARTICIPATION FOR
EACH EVENT.
For fairness that it doesn't look like I or any officer is
singling or favoring any one member, the winner of the previous
months competition is not eligible to win the current months
prize.
OK the good part:
Febuary Competition -
This is to use your creativity, the guild member that comes up
with the best 2 ideas for in game competitions wins the prize
So sharpen up your imagination, and submit your ideas. I would
highly recommend you not posting your ideas to the public but
rather PM me your ideas. You can alter or amend your entry via a
pm to me but final day for this competition will end 28th Feb
2014.
After the final day, myself and the other officers will meet up
and discuss the ideas and select the best entry.
keep in mind that your entry does not have to be the exact
competition, as myself and the officer will discuss the
technicalities of the ideas to make it fair and balanced for
high and low levels alike

For the February competition we only had one entry and that was
from Gaulthorn, and here is what he had to enter

So for these ideas I imagine we could combine the first idea and
second idea into one that I interpret this to be a set raid (one
with a significant amount of HP) and an agreed upon HP damage
target and the closest one to that target without going over (I
threw that going over idea in as a little twist)....I think we
could call this "Raid Golf"
any other suggestions to add to this idea or opinions of
conflict about the idea?
Btw congratz Gaulthorn and will get you a Google play voucher to
you ASAP

Competitions will continue, they are just put on hold for a
little bit till I find out some more information on the Google
Play cards...The original competitions winner was an Android
user and I found out that Australian and US Google Play cards
are not cross compatible. So I need to research about getting
digital editions of Google Play credit....Itunes cards are not
an issue that I can see at this stage
one option I thought I could come up with is have an American
source (member) to register with the places that provide digital
google play cards to purchase and send the card to the winner
and I provide the funds to their personal PayPal

Hey Gweedo, how about a competition that involves SCREENSHOTS,
like maybe best hit with their level in consideration, or
biggest gap between lowest hit and highest hit on the same raid
using same 1, 5 or 20, or maybe just dress up your character
wearing different stuff with different categories like "silliest
costume" or "What Chuck Norris would wear in a Dojo" or "black
tie event".
Just a few thoughts mate. I presume that Officers are not
elegible for monthly prize.
Im sure the troops will enjoy whatever competitions we commence.
All Officers can promote the monthly competition daily.

Syr, those are exactly the things I am trying promote within the
guild....bringing everyone together for a bit of "outside the
box" fun, things that involve the game but with our little twist
on them. Yes Officers are not eligible as we have to remain as
judges for the events.
You and I are on the same thinking page as I have always thought
a dress-up competition that are themed was a way to utilize the
armour that we used to use or have never used and never will for
that matter.
Gaulthorn's idea was/is brilliant which I have labeled DotD
golf.
The sky is the limit with imagination that we can come up with
but we will be back on track soon with these guild comps....it
give this guild something that no other is offering that have
heard of
