       Angel Poole gets 10 years for 2mo babies starvation death

       Angel Poole, 25, was sentenced after pleading guilty to child
       endangerment resulting in serious injury, a Van Buren County
       Court official tells PEOPLE.
       She was arrested in March 2017 following a police investigation
       into the July 2016 death of her two-month-old son, Judah
       Wessels, KVTO reports.
       On July 7, 2016, Poole, of Birmingham, called 911 to report that
       her son was having trouble breathing, local station KCCI
       reports. Judah was taken to a hospital where he died an hour
       later.
       Judah was born a healthy baby weighing 7 lbs., prosecutors said,
       KTVO reports. When he died, he weighed just five lbs., KTVO and
       KCCI report. An autopsy reported Judah was “markedly
       malnourished” and died of starvation and dehydration, the Des
       Moines Register reported at the time.
       Poole was originally charged with a Class B felony but in
       exchange for her plea, prosecutors lowered the charge to a Class
       C felony, KTVO reports. Her attorney, Andrew Prosser, could not
       be reached for comment Wednesday.
