Gotta say we have a few military bases here in Kentucky, but
luckily, I live far enough away from all of them!

What will they do about the noise complaints?
"Oh are we being too loud? I'll have a word to the guys and ask
them to keep it down OK? Thanks for letting us know"

We see and hear them flying low over head from our home during
these bombing practices, and I'm less than 30 miles from Ocala
       as the crow flies.
According to our military, this entire area in North
Central/Gulf coast region of FL has a population that in their
view, is low enough to be considered "unpopulated".
Ocala's 2018 population alone is listed at 59,110 people, and
that doesn't include those who claim homestead in other states,
yet spend every winter season here, and that's just Ocala.
We've countless tiny townships and cities, along with full time
county and seasonal residents throughout Marion, Levy, and
Alachua counties; Alachua also being home to Gainesville and the
UF, and only about 40 miles North of Ocala from I-75, but there
       are shorter routes.
The Ocala National Forest is hugely popular with students,
locals and tourists, especially the waterways, equestrian and
       bike trails.
(Not to mention the occasional deep forest meth labs that are
usually revealed after one explodes and sets the local forest
       area on fire. >:()

lol They aren't bombing virgin forest. A bombing range is a big
area of dirt and target structures.

       "Granted."
"Bombs away. Three seconds to impact. Two...one...Splash"
"Pulling round to do our BDA."
"Yeah, we got her. Target destroyed."

Basic training. Fort McClennan, Alabama, July 1982. We were on
the range firing M-60 machine guns for the first time. Each
soldier had a 100 round belt of ammo to fire. 40 soldiers at a
time firing. A group got down, loaded their belt of ammo into
the M-60. The range official cleared everything and then said
"Fire". About half a second later, a deer walked out of the tree
line, onto the range. Every 10th round in the belt of ammo was a
tracer round, so you could see where they were going. Suddenly,
you see 40 lines of tracer ammo all converging at the deer. They
called a cease fire. Range officials went down in the jeep to
check the status of the deer. They found little bits and pieces.

Inert ? When the Commonwealth of the Northern Mariana Islands
became part of America we gave them a 100 year lease on an
Island, Farallon De Medinilla to use as a live bombing range .
Upsets the hell out of me .
