While there is a possibility that this was homicide, about 75%
of families refuse to believe their "loved one" committed
suicide. Any answer is better than hearing the person you
thought you knew was so sad, desperate, unhappy, that they chose
to end their life.

I am not sure how I feel about this information... it's vague
but not vague. I don't think I like it.

IMHO, he did it. The person killed was doing their own private
investigation and probably
getting too close to home for the deputy. So he snuffed her.
Problem taken care of.
