Madison man urges people to install video cameras after
concerning encounter

entry to his residence there is technically no crime to report.

I consider it a necessity. We have cameras covering the entire
property plus one inside that covers the living room. The one
inside is connected to the monitored alarm system. The
monitoring is about $45/month and well worth it, imho. We got
the same one as our neighbor, so we were already familiar with
how it works and knew that they will call the police and the
police will come. The neighbor has set hers off a few times
accidentally.
The Ring doorbell camera is pretty inexpensive, I believe. Our
outside camera system is not expensive; most are not. It's the
wiring that is going to cost you unless you can do it yourself.
Ours also came with an app so we can monitor it from anywhere.
If Amazon claims they delivered a package and we didn't get it,
we have proof on video that no one came between such and such
hours on that day.

She is quite obviously a rookie here. Why the hell would she
cover her face and leave her hair like that? Dumb dumb... if
you're going to be slick hide your hair too.

We are still lucky in this neck of the woods . Never had any
need for cameras . Not a single home invasion in my almost 50
years here. Only 6 reported burglaries and petty theft in the
last 15 yrs.

Police filed three warrants against the woman, now identified as
Tracy Lynn Cook, and she was arrested Thursday afternoon.
Investigators said she was also seen at another nearby residence
attempting to enter a backdoor of a home and was also filmed by
a next door neighbor.
Arrest records show Cook faces one charge of criminal trespass,
two counts of failure to appear and one count of probation
violation.
According to state court records, she pleaded guilty to driving
with improper lights and driving with a suspended license,
offenses that occurred in in 2003. In 2004, she pleaded guilty
to use or possession of drug paraphernalia.
