Loose fitting parts: 12D to 12E and 14D to 14E

Hi all. I have found that when screwing 12D Track Rod and 12E
Flange together (or 14D and 14E) using a BM screw, there's a LOT
of slack. It seems like either the screw is too long or the hole
isn't deep enough. Either way, the flange flops around on the
end of the track rod. Is this normal or should I use washers to
pack out the slack? What did you guys find on your kits? Thanks!

mine is built loose, both of them. i can't make it tight so i
would suspect its made this way for a reason.
i'll keep mine how it is for now, when applying the parts to the
build they may fit in snug.

Page, they are suppose to be loose
