Screw Issues

Anyone else really fed up with the screws and their general
awfulness? Nearly impaled myself several times tonight trying to
get a screw tighten , and still the part wobbles...gave up using
their screw driver and have switched to a set I bought. It just
about gets the job done but its getting frustrating...I can only
imagine it will get worse...:/

Hi Harry,
Yes, this has been a bit of a disaster and I *have* impaled
myself a few times.
I've taken a large flathead (not phillips) screwdriver and filed
down the edges so it'll fit into the Eaglemoss screws. This
really digs into the soft screws, and, by coating the leading
edge of the screw in WD40, I'm having much more success putting
the thing together - the suspension towers / engine mount are
finally firm on the chassis and no longer wobbling around!

hiya,
the only issue so far has been with the wheel calipers, which is
sorted by including a washer to tighten it up.
most parts come without a screw thread due to mass production.
if screwing two parts together I've found this way helpful -
pre-screw a thread into both parts separately, once done.. screw
the parts together. it's helped me make the overall build more
sturdy.
hope this helpls.
thanks, Michae.

I have impaled myself also at the begining of the build. I
bought a STANLEY screw driver set from B & Q and since then no
problem.. Excellent for this & my MILLENNIUM FALCON & R2D2
builds
