What's up with him? I haven't watched it for a while, he used
to be doing pretty well for himself, now he's a homeless mute.

He was going to get married to Mandy but on the wedding day she
said she didn't want to marry him. He then had a mental
breakdown and the episode ended with him walking down the side
of a motorway. Lauren and Whitney went to a homeless shelter so
they could get free gig tickets, Lauren had to go back there
because she forgot her bag and on her way out saw Ian. She ran
home and told Tanya and Max that she seen Ian but they did not
believe her. But, they went to see for themselves and eventually
found him.

Yes. That's why Ben and Phil are worried that he is back.
Also I think Max is the man Kat is seeing because Tanya is
leaving for three months soon.

It seemed like she was sleeping with that extremely large black
man, have they still not revealed who she's having an affair
with yet?

A few episodes back, the mystery man gave her the key to his
flat. I think Max, Michael, Derek don't live in a flat so it
would have to be either Jack or Ray (the large black man).
